Routes as sport in Greece

The island's most popular, steep tufa climb. A good introduction to the style. In peak season, come early for a quick onsight or join the crowd until the sun hits.

Shares first bolts with Nisoi Trizonia. Aperanto Galazio bolts are marked with red paint when they separate.

The last of the easy lines to get into the sun, on summer days.

Basically a Kalymnos unicorn: Steady, tufas-only, mid grade climbing. Very popular.

Easiest of the crag

The crux is near the start on the vertical face, the rest is easy going. The ending is intresting.

Be careful, the rope tends to get stuck upon recall. Pull it from as far right as possible.

The easiest route of the main wall. Popular for the "photo-opportunity sitdown rest" and often occupied by big top-rope parties.

Nice training on sidepulls

Juggy tufas and a special crux. Hard to onsight.

Underneath is written 6a, which seems more correct

Classy steep line on big holds. Some holds are getting a little polished.

6a+ if you go direct, much easier from the sides.

Slab and juggy tufas.

Shares the same anchors with "Back to basics", as well as the last bolt.

Solid tufa action at the grade. Pumpy but possible kneebars and stemming. Not so obvious top section.

Fabulous steep climbing for the grade. Little polished but no real bother. Enjoy the experience.

Direct start for Nisoi Trizonia, then, after 4 bolts it joins the Nisoi route.

The crux is the starting sequence

Being less steep than the 7's to the left, Trela still requires a lot of endurance or better, some creative kneebars. Take the rightmost line of the shared start with Punto Caramelo and Tufantastic.

[Rope beta: A 70m rope is more than enough for leading and lowering (even though the guidebook says 40m). BUT be aware that stripping QDs might need more rope depending on technique.]

A step upwards from DNA but at least as good! One reachy move makes it harder for the short.

Brilliant long climb on good holds.

Beautiful but pumpy climbing on tufa blobs. The first bolts are quite spaced.

Good holds and fun moves throughout.

After the last bolt you could continue into Maria anchors.
