Ascents in Gran Paradiso

We climbed Monday Money because Repentance was already taken by a couple of parties when we got there at 8am. Once we started climbing, couple other parties arrive to Monday Money as well, so we agreed to share the route (we stay on the right, they keep on the left); however, they did a prick move and crossed over from the first anchor on the left side to the second one on the right, dropping ice on us all the time. Since Repentance was already free at that moment, we decided to go down on a V-thread at the second pitch of Monday Money and give Repentance a go

It was a very cold day (below -15 C the entire day). First we climbed part of Monday Money, and started Repentance at 2pm. Many fragile mushrooms that needed careful hooking. Parties rappelling from the top dropped ice on us, hitting Russel and myself on the face during the first pitch.

Fessura fisica in strapiombo con pochi piedi. Chiusa soltanto grazie a Sergio che mi ha suggerito, casomai, di spezzare il super allungo finale con un'intermedia risolutiva. Geronimo o la via del bicipite sinistro!

Great route that gets the sun in the afternoon (and consequently quite wet). Overly popular today, but still great. Last pitch is not really worth it.

Made for a pleasant afternoon climb. Simu-climbed/soloed the first half.

Only did P1, and finished in the dark. Excellent first experience with ice climbing!
