V7 crux boulder session

Punted in the crack

classic blue mountains line. climbed 1m left of the line of bolts. cruxy traverse then jugsss

Hard traverse undercling crux move, couldn‘t get passed it. Easier sequence is to go far left of the bolts

Pumpy warm up

Thin, techy, hard and shouldery. Line is pretty contrived. I seem to be the only one who likes this. Had more fun working this than Laotian (with Matt g) Can do key crux moves but still need to work the first move to crimp. Possible project.

First part tricky

first 7a try, which was a real hard, painful one.

Having a fucking day…

Rage ground up redpointing on crossly crimps didn’t work.

The only way to make the grade is to basically climb around the crux, going direct is many grades harder (more like 7a+). Top felt kinda’ choss also Caroline Chang stitched me up by not actually putting any draws on the last clip and anchor.

Onsighted to 7th draw and thought I’d done the climb so came down 😂 (silly mistake) Stiff for the grade… reachy moves which felt like a board climb with a defined crux. Had me doing 2 rose moves lol would be good if was longer. Top looked very chossy.

Ran up to put the draws on as was told this was the 6b+ but realised I was on the wrong route after cruxing out at 3rd bolt 😂 Proper stitch up from Josh Ellis
