Ascents in Wied Il-Għasel (Mosta Valley)

Nice short route with small, crimpy holds.

Hard, technical movements on small crimps in the lower part, sustained in the upper part.

Very cool start, but couldn't find a way to do the crux. Pulled on the quickdraw and finished the rest, which is also quite nice. Lots of bird droppings on the ledge after the overhang, though.

Felt too easy after all.

Went right after the second bolt, which is quite close to the project next to it, but also tried to the left afterwards. Both ways are nowhere near 7a+, especially because it's quite short.

nice bottom moves and the final top part is a bit tricky

Awesome route starting with a nice little boulder up onto the ledge and then sustained climbing. Great move on a mono undercling.

Technical boulder at the start, then a tough, sustained upper section.

Fell at the second bolt due to open barn door.

Hard start on a two-hand sidepull into a good pocket followed by a technical vertical section with few holds. The slab above is nice as with all routes here.

6c/7a in the guide but I though its easier. Especially if u know the moves.Very nice + sweet upper section!

2nd Go

I flashed it so hard to say if a 6c+ or 6c as i didnt try again. Felt hard around the first 2 3 bolts. For sire not a 7a though!

Soft

No way 7a+! Maybe if u dont deviate from the bolt line more than 1m but it didnt feel very hard. A few blocks the first time and then relatively easy 2nd go.very nice upper half!

2nd Go

Very bouldery, power based, might have use some of the 6c holds?

Seemed cool but I was too exhausted already.

Cool "monkey start" followed by a technical section over the bulge.

Brilliant second pitch to "Tufa Moss". The name of the route says it all.

Hilarious! There's literally nothing but underclings.

Boulder start on tufas into good pockets, one of my favourites here.

These routes should really be extensions of the bottom routes or something, as its quite hard to follow what route is what. This has rad moves though, good fun, linking the 2 as one pitch.

Awesome route. Maybe a touch soft for the grade. Depends if you have experienced underclings before... A genuine red point onsight. Stoked to get it. Thanks Nicolo Gatti for bolting this climb. And thanks Charlie for the catch.
