History: The bolt is one of Mike Scott's ancient alpine ones (very short and small) which Don Hartley hammered in while standing on Keith Fletcher’s head, and Keith was tied to a wonky piton. They had no nuts and no cams back then.

"The obvious layback crack up the amphitheatre. Mega!"

A superb route that takes the obvious crack in the grey wall left of the Gendarme. Scramble up to a higher ledge below the long overhang which blocks access directly into the crack. The route climbs the smooth face immediately right of the easy Kayaman crack.

1. From the block climb to the rail and up past more rails which lead rightwards to a long ledge. Walk right to a curved scoop.

2. Move up the scoop and back left to a rail. Go right and up before moving left to a ledge. Climb into the crack to a hanging belay just higher.

3. Climb past the roof and up the crack. Stance on the right.

4. Climb the break and wall to the top (65m).

Start: up the undercut crack system to the right of 'Tafelberg Frontal'.

   Climb the overhanging crack at the bottom of the central break.

   Continue up the crack to a large stance in a cave.

3. [21] 30m

   Move out left from the cave and into a crack. Climb thru the overlap to a small stance.

4. [11] 15m

   Climb to the large ledge.

5. [18] 40m

   Climb up and to the right, then to the left on black rock. Move up a little, then back to the right to a line of weakness directly below the flake. Climb the line of weakness, then move a little to the left and chimney out behind the flake to the top.

Starts right of 'All along the Watchtower' and joins 'All along the Watchtower' at the second last bolt to finish on All along the Watchtower lower offs.

The Middle third of route and exit (last two bolts) is shared with Beastmaster, a trad line opened in the '80s by Jono Fischer and Jono Orrock.

1. Climb the corner through a flared chimney. continue up the crack, moving past a plant hanging out the crack. Pull through the small roof above and make a stance.

2. Continue up the open book, moving past a loose block. At the top of the open book, step slightly right and continue easily up to the summit.

Stand start and climb the arete, the bottom horn on the left is out because it is unstable

Sit-start with large jug, move up right and finish up the slab

Crouch-start with rail, move to crimpy flake and climb up. Is this 5b or 6b?

1. A tricky and committing start leads to the corner system. follow this up and slightly leftwards until able to mantle and make a stance.

2. Starting on the left, continue up discontinuous corners, trending right to a fair sized ledge. Climb the short crack to a large ledge in a cave feature. the next pitch starts near the right-hand edge of the cave.

3. Standing on a block, establish on the grey slabby corner. follow the slab until it steepens to vertical. mantle up and follow a short and gritty crack to the summit.

Climb the centre of the slab.

This route is on the opposite side of the gully. You’ll pass it if you opt to walk from #2 to #3.

Sit start on slot and climb up and right. Named after a misspelled sign for hatchling. Now it points to a real problem!

Climb the open book (inner corner / crack)

Start on the right with sidepull for left hand and mantle up.

Sit-start with fractured rock and climb up the juggy crack.

Start with jug and climb straight up.

Start with left hand on sloper and climb up.

A bouldery climb following a spectacular line on the prow.

1. A difficult start in the corner gains the chimney. Climb it to a ledge.

2. Climb the arching crack to the skyline (crux). Continue following the crack until reaching a large ledge.

Note: with careful rope management it is probably better to combine both pitches.

Exit: scramble out in the gulley a few meters to the right.

Climb up leftwards.

Take the wide slot that eventually narrows to a hand crack above the pod, between The Passion and Golden Handshake. Better than it looks.

Climbs the middle of the face about 10m right of a large, rightward tending crack.

Start just left of the undercut section. Climb up, tending just slightly right, to the apex of a large, grey, triangular flake in front of the upper face. Step off the flake, move carefully left to a crack, and climb this to the top.

Sit start at the lower left corner, climb up and traverse right to the finish of Orange Power.

Climb the slab avoiding the roof behind.
