Line of bolts left of Bovenplaats.

Interesting, slightly overhanging climbing.

The first bolt may be a tricky/committing clip for shorter climbers.

A long route, by Jan Smuts Crag standards. Either abseil in (apparently there's a bolt) or scramble down about 30m to the right (if looking out from the top of the route).

History: Bovenplaats was the name of Jan Smuts’ father’s farm when he was born.

Start 5m right of Bovenplaats at the arête left of the fig tree. Follow the line of bolts tending left. Finish at the chains 1m right of Bovenplaats.

Easy climbing to where the wall becomes overhanging. Gain the ledge below the roof, before climbing the crack in the open-book/vague chimney.
