Ascents in Big Tree Wall

Tricky 6A+ if you climb up through the middle. Solid for the grade. The climb you are waiting for is the 6B+! Amazing climb up the Tufa. Some of the bolts may seem spaced, but there are good holds in between.

Accidentally climbed Gitano Variation as I thought it was Orange Crush - which is right of the route and is a faded Orange colour. I only climbed the first pitch. Small features to overcome the crux!

Fantastic climbing using stemming. The bolts are quite spaced, so a confident approach is necessary.

Decided on 2 pitches instead of the 4 because it was windy. The first belay ledge is great, but part of the rope has its core exposed due to rubbing on the rock. The other attachment is on a titanium bolt.

Great route! Climbed only the first two pitches. Took a long tail boat from the Manoh pier, round trip for 2200 THB. We were dropped off at the bottom of the cliff, hiked 5 minutes to the base of the climb. Protected with glue-ins that look pro, and a few slings that should be replaced soon. The anchor at the top of the second pitch has new rope. Whoever established and maintained this route: THANK YOU!

Decided to climb it clean and have no doubts through the weird to read crux.

Contrived start for 10 metres and then great climbing to the anchors. May have a second pitch bolted at some stage

Climbed pitch one again today, then onsighted the second pitch. Pitch 1 is really cool, a long climb up through a waterfall of tufas to traverse around a huge stalactite and climb steeply up through the hole in the roof. Pitch 2 - Wow, so awesome! The best climb I've done, the rock is absolutely amazing! had to stop after pitch 2 due to encroaching thunderstorm :-(

Just did pitch one today, what a ripper!

This is a really nice and varied climb, starting with a bit of a pump then onto thin (crux) face holds on beautiful rock for the second half. Had a rest on the rope halfway up -just before the crux, then nailed it! Would have like to have had time to come back and try to redpoint!

Beautiful pocket climbing! Unfortunately took an exhilarating whipper above the second last bolt, tried two more times but was exhausted!

Interesting climb with some fun steep sections broken up by some ledges. Bit of a zigzag - be careful of rope drag!
