BEWARE! rapping off was a fiasco, lowering from some of the top anchors left us WAY left of the next anchors (maybe we missed something) then lowring from those anchors left us dangling withough any anchors, somehow we missed them in the dark, resulting in a sketchy rapel off of a single bolt down to the last belay. Sam Lightner's info for rappels is somehow amiss for this route in his "Thailand" guidebook. get local beta before doin this route. great climbing though.

My favourite pitch. Nice finish. Avoid the intermediate belay station, go directly for the last and don't use it for abseil either if you have a 60 metre to directly to the top of p3.
Hann lost his camera in one of the abseils and then dropped a show. Then we were attacked by mosquitoes and had to run for a beer.

Last climb of the trip. The climb itself was awesome with the top pitch being an excellent must do flowfest. The descent however was a bumblefest, but who I was to think I could go through a whole three weeks without an epic. So we were rapping from the anchors of the second last pitch off in the dying light. The day before I had cut my rope because it was core shot. Lost about 5 metres. This is sitting in the back of my head as I pass the anchors of the 2nd pitch and knew we have to do at least another rap. I figured we could do it from the first pitch to the ground. I get to just before the anchors of the first pitch and bam I am stuck. The stopper not gets jammed into the atc. It was at this point I figured I would just use my weight to jam down to the anchors on rope stretch and then take off the atc. Bam get down to the anchors but the atc won't come loose. I up climb a few bolts daisy chain soloing to get to the third bolt. Where I undo the knot and release the rope. I figure I'll tell Erika when she gets to the next bolt after I downclimb to the anchors. I daisy chain solo down to the anchors just in time to look up and see Erika pretty much at the bolt I just came down from. She had done the same thing. We have a bit of a discussion and she decides to climb up a bit so she can let the ropes go and pull the ropes through to rap down to the anchors off the bolt she was is at. So lets go of the rope starts to yank and its at this time we realise she had grabbed the wrong rope. So now she has to solo over to grab the other end rope to pull through. She does it raps down to he anchors and we get down alright. This whole ordeal was taking place whilst it was dark. We were 30 metres above the road and could see people coming back to dinner from their day out. It was a completely surreal experience the juxtaposition of being so alone and afraid to being so close to society. Would not do the same again. The words 'I'll get it on rope stretch' should not be a part of any good descent. Bad experiences make wiser decisions. Erika however was nowhere near freaked out. That finnish stoicism at its finest.

On the third pitch, this can be connected to Beauty and the Beast. Raps area makes the descent easier. On high season, some climbers can't wait and do not consider the pace of climbers ahead of them. Climbing communication ethics will help a lot. 3rd belay station can be uncomfortable with two climbers belaying on it.

The birth of Multi-Pitch Mitch.
Great fun intuitive climbing with no distinct cruxes. It's 4 pitches, not five, but there is a rap-anchor half way up the 4th and final pitch that is used to rap off easily with a single 60m rope. Use rap rings on the left facing the rock to stay out of other climbers' way. A relaxed few pm hours in the shade.

Had climbed the access pitch before. The first two pitches are OK but the 3rd pitch is the money - 3* for sure and slightly harder and more exposed than any of the 6bs on Big Wave. Brilliant varied involved climbing - doesn't get better at the grade. 1hr16 ground to ground, climbed in classic swinging lead style setting off 'The Great Tonsai Beauty and the Beast Speed Ascent Challenge'. We held the title for exactly 1 week lol - the record now sits at 52 minutes - both climbers must lead the top pitch.

Good fun. Both climbers need to be solid 6b climbers.

Pretty good route! Amazing view of the beach and town the whole way up, with railay in the background.
Some sharp climbing and honeycomb limestone which makes for great feet but spiky hands. Trad moves make the whole climb feel way more secure despite the inevitable moisture and humidity. Took us about 5 hours, but we were definitely faffing a lot. Would recommend, excellent adventure. |

Very very cool, night ascent, started at 5pm, lots of really nice pocketed face climbing in chimneys with good exposure, beautiful sitting up there at night with the headtorch off, great end climb of the trip

A nice multi pitch for the afternoon climb. Gradually gets harder. The last pitch was much harder then I expected. Overall I think this multi pitch is harder then Humanality

Only to 3rd pitch top. What a crowded route.
