Ascents in Guides' Wall as Red point or First free ascent

Trad Monster line! A bit of a pain logistically but it's worth the effort. Harder than Ozone for sure but probably not 8c.

Fun, the crux is entirely mental. Christa led and I seconded. She's considering calling up Dick Williams and asking him to re-grade the climb at 5.2 A0- to more correctly reflect the style of her ascent (she took on gear to place pro at the crux).

AWESOME CLIMB! Originially followed it in the Spring and was able to get on it at the end of the day. Had rap out in the dark.

First rock climb

P1 only.

Linked the first and the second pitches and then did the third. Previous followed the route in the spring, didn't find it all that great.

first climbed 8 jun03 w/ H Sebold. Seconded.

First lead! Followed previously to be safe. Just P1.

The bolted crux was very manageable. We cleared a loose half-microwave-sized block off the middle of the first pitch. Great bolted belays offering a rappel line just to the side of the climbing line allowing parties to cross easily.
