Routes in Needles

Climb the crystal-filled rain-gulley up easy slab and right to a bolted anchor. Continue up the gulley through a couple steep sections until you reach a notch, then move right onto a ledge and bolted anchor. From anchor, go up slab with crack, then slab to bolted anchor at top. Rap the route.

Starts up a series of large flakes.

2 pitches then 5.5 for about 35 feet up and right to the rap anchors.

Be aware that there is a short (10 feet) downclimb from the summit to the rappel slings.

10 bolts fairly new. More like Rushmore than typical for needles. On Rinoceros Rock next block past Lander Turkey Shoot to the SW. Climb is on N end of rock with truck size Chockstone bridging Rinoceros and Outer Outlets. Two sets of rap chains for 50m rope rap down or stop at first set -- 6th bolt.

Climb the bolted blunt arete.

Climb the face to the left of "Lander Turkey Shoot", don't be scared at the step-across.

Faceclimb on the uphill side

Starts behind a tree.

Nice closely bolted sport climb up the middle of the wall.

More run-out than the other two on this formation, but excellent climbing on a long, slightly wandering, route.
