Ascents in Cat Ba Island

Well, that’s a bit disappointing.. tweaked my finger joint again. High humidity isn’t helping my joints but my trip might be just delegated to tr. pity, as I got it clean. Hopefully if the high humidity goes and my joints settle, maybe I can salvage something?

Trying to stay fit while my back is playing up. Unfortunately this one triggers my finger injury. X5 laps clean though

Glenn's route, I snagged the FA. Thanks mate. Start 4m L of The Grass is Always Greener at large tufa. Up tufa/corner to encounter delicate face climbing. Negotiate a ledge system, then it's in to some overhung cracks. Tie a knot in the end of your 60m rope before lowering.

Unlikely this one is 12a ... but its tons of fun. Good variety - crack through a bulge, up a delicate stemming groove.

I think this 7c, or soft 7c+. Fun climbing: if it were more consistently difficult in the upper head wall, it would be a classic.

This route is a bit overrated -- I'd almost go with 11d (7a). Regardless, the climbing is very fun. This sector is one of the best at the crag.

several difficult moves between the distance of 3 bolts. If I could find a good sinker handjam I think I could do it but I just can't make it stick .. yet.

Two bolts of technical crack work ... Just not happening this trip, time to move on

Hard crack section, painful jamming! Can do the moves just not all together. From the top of the crack can get to anchors clean.

Misty weather and previous days of rain made the top section wet. Just worked the crux to top of crack. Best attempt was clean to top of crack where I fell off the last move to the jug. Hands are feeling a bit battered from the handjam... Weather permitting...this could go!!

Just a tad to much beta to call to honesty call it and onsight, but it certainly felt like it putting the draws on. Quite a few places were I thought I was possibly off and hard to read section. Great route, fantastic top crack section

Really cool climbing. Some of the moves in the lower section seem a bit run out but the top section is a lot of fun.

Finally! After leaving the draws on, the rain set in. Our last day here and the weather was dry. First shot, got through the crux only to be foiled by a missed jug. Second shot, got the jug and cruised to the top! Woohoo! A great climb if you can crack climb, harder if you can't....

Maybe the best 5.12a at the crag. Along with Freakonomics. Super cool crack/overhang climbing followed by the crux.

Beautiful climb with many rests. Long and with multiple smaller cruxes.

Great climb, fairly easy apart from the exit of the roof, where tehre are two or three hard moves.
