There are two ways to approach starting from west side of canyon.
The shorter one - steep scrambling with ropes and (slippery if wet) boulders, and longer one path - diagonal up till Oasis/Chorerras sector and then go backward at the cliff base. This one is more comfortable, especially for kids/animals.

This route is named in honor of Brian Teal. A prolific climber of his day in Colorado and Alaska. His ashes were spread from the top of the route on the first ascent in fulfillment of a wish to be scattered somewhere warm and beautiful.
The line was originally climbed in its entirety on trade gear using the overhanging hand Jam fist Jam variation and dubbed BT Tradition. In order to simplify the topo the trad variation is described here but only the sport variation will be in the written guide book.
