Managed to bump the highpoint up to the second bolt on the face after Dave meticulously scrubbed the holds. What a legend! 2 21 25 Trad arrampicata in lead da Luke Yerbury A couple of false starts trying to figure out the moves off the belay. That crack is glorious to climb, great jugs and stances when you want to place gear and a mildly exciting/exposed drop-the-clutch conclusion. 3 25 25 Trad arrampicata in lead da Luke Yerbury Had a great rip at this pitch (helped that I had tried it on top-rope solo previously) but got absolutely flamed at the last bolt and couldn't clip it - took a screamer. Not enough daylight (or energy) for another go today. 4 16 20 Trad arrampicata in lead da Luke Yerbury Quite nice moves to get started and plenty of gear up the top. 	24	★★★ On a String and a Prayer 1 Da secondo It was fully raining when I seconded this pitch, and I broke a footer off and fell off. Not a great pitch, but not too bad for an "access pitch". The only one of the lower pitches that gets wet in rain. 2 24 Da secondo Mega and unlikely -wandering to find the holds. The crux is an all-time rad blind throw. 3 24 Sportiva Hard at the grade. A very hard start (I didn't manage it at all today) leads to awesome easier climbing up a linked set of features. 4 24 Sportiva Hard at the grade. Wild opening moves that left me feeling "spaced" before a gnarly, stacked thin-crimping section with tricky footwork. I fell off on that final cruxy bit. 5 Sportiva 6 Sportiva Linked into the next pitch because I couldn't be bothered re-belaying. Short, steep, kinda chossy, but inoffensive. 7 Sportiva I actually really rate this pitch. Steep, funky, and with weirdly-featured rock. Linked from the previous pitch with only minimal rope drag. Seconding the FA for the most part. I lead the pitches that had been done free previously. This route is mega mega in the style and grade, but unfortunately -for me- the day ended in the scenario that is now the namesake of the route, which left me with a mixed experience.

Coming back to try and clean up the pitches I didn't get clean last time. Unfortunately, the ropes I brought weren't long enough to get to the belay below P3, so for now that pitch will have to remain un-sent. It was bloody hot out here today, but the route was still great.

P2 only. Wow! Every bit 25 IMHO. Very sustained for the first half. Sustained, technical, and demanding face climbing leads (eventually) to a No-hands rest, followed by some punchy steep climbing to finish. Cool! I fell off the low-crux, sorted it out, and came back down to try again... only to fall off it again. I'm going to use the excuse of the heat, and my own weariness by this time of the day Having said that, I fell off about 3 more times on the upper moves, so I was never going to get this one done straight-up

Thought onsighting vigilante would be the highpoint of the day, but this may have topped it in a masochistic manner. I think there was maybe four actual holds on the whole route, the rest were what I would categorise as "holds", made useable through desperate creativity, fueled by a strong desire to not have to re-climb each preceding section that you desperately clawed your way through moments ago. The wet rock adds an intriguing element, especially when you are blindly searching for something to put your fingers to use on. Very different to other blue mountains "small-edge slab climbing" and totally a route I will recommend to my friends just so I can see them squirm with an all-too-familiar discomfort.

Hung draws, then spent some time just figuring out the start boulder. Finally got it sorted and then had an attempt where I fell at the 4th bolt pumped and confused. Very keen to come back for this one, packed with so much good climbing.

a couple shots to get through the start boulder the first tie in, then dogging to the top. Second 'attempt' was like 5 or so fails at the start boulder followed by juuust squeaking it, and then carrying a ridiculous pump the rest of the way. Excellent climb, probably v5 or so start into ~g23 pumping for 30 metres. technically like 8 shots because you always start from the ground, but over 3 tie ins.

One of my all-time favourite climbing experiences. This is my favourite kind of blueys sandstone. Just keep trucking through the first half with some spicy sequences and then glory jugs to the top. Mega! Keen to try some of the harder stuff here

Awesome route, nice and pumpy!! Beta lap at first and got super pumped, so didn't think I was anywhere near close. Second time on surprised myself a little and fell right before the first good rest because of bad beta. Pulled back on and climbed it to the top with better beta. Super pumped but was actually able to rest and climb through it which was great. Pretty stoked to get it in one sit!

Both the things I was holding broke when I was less than 50cm off the ground, then I lowered and did the climb, lol. I get why this was bolted, but best to climb the other stuff first. A couple of cool sequences and a name that provided wisdom at just the right time.

I had a lot of trouble with a move down low on this as a warmup, and it kinda tainted my experience of it at the time (there may have been a lot of whinging). Analytically, it's actually a pretty cool amount of exposed, technical climbing, with a couple of true arete-y cruxes.

Other than the sandy corner start, this is my favourite route of this little crag. A bit broken up, but funky sequences between mega rests, and on mostly good rock. Could use more cleaning. Felt right at the grade (22) but for a move higher up which was surely gr23.

Fell off the last move of the opening boulder on the onsight (with no chalk on the sneaky sneaky holds, and in the full summer sun, I ended up in no man's land trying to rock over an invisible footer on no holds). Came down, and sent 2nd shot, onsighting from the 3rd bolt up. Basically a gr24 thin and bouldery start into gr20 climbing with enjoyable, cruisy moves. Could use more cleaning.

Repeat attempt - not clean today. Brutally hard. Was my FA grading a sandbag, or am I just tired? The start boulder is a proper gnarly boulder, and everything from the 2nd bolt up is still probably 25 in itself. Radical power-endurance climbing, though =)

Thought this was excellent. I definitely chose some hard sequences whilst onsighting, so it felt very on the whole way. I like the rock down this end of the cliff.
