#3. Will hung the draws and then dared me to lead it, which I did! Gotta love slabs with two-finger single crystal pinches. Will definitely try this again on the sharp end.

#4. Decided to TR this because of the ground fall potential between 1rst and 2nd bolts. Needed a rest and a few careful attempts, but did solve the beta. May need another pass on TR before I will want to lead this.

#2. More Trad. This time I placed a micro cam above one of Will's but placements, just to remind myself how to plug cams. Nut placements were good.

#1. Will placed gear, then pulled the rope and I lead it on his placements.

#5. Cooldown. A nice simple 5.6.

#2. Hadn't planned to climb trad today, but low on options, figured this was worth a shot. Wasted a lot of energy at the start placing gear too high above my head instead of just climbing higher; also terrible gear management resulted in wasted effort. But a fun climb nonetheless.

#1 of the day, #1 of the spring season. 1 day out of quarantine and back on the rock. Intended to climb stuff at either the Castle (rammed w/ double-capacity cars) or the Spot (chock a block with people), so opted to go for a longer walk over to Jessie's and see if the crowds had made it that far inland. They had not - had the place to ourselves.

Fun little short easy 5.6 crack line. Good times. Karla's first lead too - I left the gear in so she could clip it, then she cleaned on rappel.

#3. This was definitely more challenge than the 5.6 warmups (duh) but also more fun.

#4 (partial). Only did the first half of this on TR (from the Two Eggs anchor) to scout it as a trad line and see where the anchor was off to the right. Seems a pretty sketchy route to protect but could just be my relative newbness at trad. Instead of continuing to the right and anchors, left the 10a and finished up on the Two Eggs anchor.

Cleaned it last fall, but didn’t get to try it till winter was done.
