Had to skip the first mantle

2nd burn after cleaning off the sand and putting the draws on 😁 good fun. Didn’t really like the run out between the 2nd and 3rd 😅

Fell going to anchors

Some interesting moves, but it felt very greasy today. The fall above the mantle is a bit dodgy for the climber and belayer if they stand low

Tough mantle start and nice jugs through the middle. Found last clip tricky until figured out a nice clipping position.

The crag needs a new tick type called 'top rope except for hard bits'. Nonetheless a great route, just need to get a bit stronger.

Much less strenuous with the right beta

Felt like I was going to pop an aneurysm trying to do the mantle first time round

Hard mantle indeed, but got it on my first attempt. Got too pumped before the anchors though.. This will definitely go next time 🤞

Really hard mantle but then relatively easy climbing afterwards on good jugs. Not as good as it looks though

Loved it, yes even the mantle start and heaps better flow on the red point send

Found the mantle easy but blew the onsight getting confused at the top and pumping out on greasy holds

mantle attempts

got past the 2nd bolt clean... did the mantle by matching on the sloper, two-arm mantle press, twist R a little to bring L thigh around and straddle the bulge, take weight on LH then slip R knee up to the ledge. trying to get to the 3rd bolt I fell the first time slipping off the rail on the R; got it by dyno'ing LH straight up to vertical pinch. burned out for the rest of the route - spent it dogging bolt to bolt. used a R heel hook extensively in the 2nd half but it's hard to remove when you need to get to traverse to final anchor ledge. needs more work.

Finally got the mantle on top rope.

Got chewed up and spat off the mantle at the start first time through, got right through to the chains second time round. Found this pretty tough and was very grateful for a long rest after the mantle.

first two clips... because I could. R hand mantle with L hand undercling/underpress, though had a bit of a struggle trying to pull my feet through

Desperate mantle. Not quite there! Tried pulling up to try the moves from there but nothing left in the tank

Blew the onsight on the mantle, then climbed free to the last bolt, misread the stance and had to rest due to being pumped (story of my life) This will go next attempt.

pretty horrid mantle at the start to good steep climbing. Should be able to get this clean

Hard mantle to start. Don't be fooled by the great looking ledge. Keep right foot lower and smear the shallow pocket ( makes the mantle more doable). The rest is jugs to glory!!! Loved it

Mantle felt horrible. Felt I was going to unclip the bolt with my belay loop. Bailed.

The mantle was the hardest individual move I have ever done. The end is great. Grade is very dependant on how good you are at mantles.
