Ascents of Rail McRailFace

Cooked it first burn. Went direct, no use of the arete. Felt 22 or so. Even with the arete likely 21.

Dropped a few times figuring out moves but felt great when got it together for a top.

Sweaty, rounded crimps. Was starting to get humid by this stage.

May have borrowed a hold from the 14 to right? …although hard to tell if that’s normal as very hard for a 20 without?

Got it first try today, just floated up the wall.

Went direct instead of grabbing the arete

Tried it without the arette - Geoff can do it but I cannot

Might have missed something, but this line felt a little contrived.

I tried not to use the right side pull but I'm guessing that's part of the climb cause without it it's real hard

Not sure if you should be reaching out to the right for this one. Without being able to pull off the right near the top, this feels harder than a 20. With the right hand in, feels easier.

A bit close to the route to the right.

Just couldn't find feet and felt like a campus board. Rough day.

I think I did this on "hard mode". I didn't use the crack on the right hand side because I thought that was part of the other climb (the 14), so I stuck to the left, and it felt way harder than 20. Pretty sure the crack should have been in.

Hand popped off the crimp rail on the first attempt. Make sure you chalk up before going to them, they can be surprisingly greasy.
