Ascents of Scylla and Charybdis by David Gibbs

Was wet in the first crux section, so had to avoid that to the right.

Still recovering from ribs and pneumothorax.

Climbed out... with lots of gear and a pack.

Su wanted to get her red-point on the way out, so I followed.

Enough water on it to make it go at 5.8+ rather than 5.7, but still lots of fun climbing.

Always a fun route.

I should probably bolt this. As a trad route, it is at best 1-* due to gear quality, but as a TR it is definitely a better climb, and I think as a sport climb, it would also be excellent.

Of course, I'd want to get consent from the FA. Oh, wait, that's me.

A 70m rope just barely rappels this one. (May, of course, depend on the 70.)

I don't often get to not lead this climb, was a nice change.

Seemed easier than I expected.

This doesn't get climbed enough, especially the bottom, which is growing back in -- unfortunate for such a good climb.

When I haven't climbed this in a while, I forget what a good route it is. Still, could use a bit more digging out of dirt at the start.

Longer and trickier, especially on the gear, than I remembered.

Good climbing, though I broke a hold (hand) and fell at the start, and broke another one (foot) later, but stuck it.

Decent gear, generally a fair bit of climbing close to grade, and a committing crux on thin gear. May even become a classic.

One of the nicest climbs on the face so far. Lots of good climbing -- just avoid the scary monsters on either side of the route.
