Hmmm. Got a bit lost and ended up (possibly) putting a variant route up with Jonny. 2nd pitch, start up but traverse right at break at around 4m through heavy choss and terrible gear (lol) to make a bolt and small cam belay a few metres into Thing 2 Pitch 2. Bit of an adventure! Blast up from there as a P3 (20).

Awesome new addition to the pass. I'd personally say it's better than BBB, up there with HC. Some incredible, memorable pitches and a brilliant day out. On sighted evens and clean seconded the odds. Pack made the first few 2nds a bit stiff! Note to future climbers: The first few pitches had some chain link bolts and my clean nose Wild Country Helium biners didn't fit through them. Lucky we had some extenders and so threaded the slings through, otherwise we would have been pretty disappointed!

A starlight night ascent as a 3. Beautiful night with moonlit belays, a lightning storm to watch in the distance and some great climbing. Every pitch so different and so cool. Party climbing the 2nd pitch was a blast and laughing a lot as a sleep deprived, exhausted Lucas got totally lost leading the 3rd chimney/roof. F'n brilliant night and highly recommend the experience. P1 - me onsight lead, P2 - Jimmy (me 2nd clean), P3 - Lucas (me 2nd clean). Cheers boys!

The route I always gawped at in my very first guidebook 6 yrs ago - the position, the line, the grade etc. Today I got to climb it..a climbing milestone for me. Probably more 22 moves than 23 but with a fierce wind, some shady rock and all that exposure it didn't feel that easy! Sooo cool.

23 Legoland Sport 25m, 9 Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 19th Dec 2016
Hung at crux after awkward clip. I didn't find the whole 'left traverse or direct' beta particularly useful. Went direct and it climbed well first burn, the left way was not for me. Horses for course I guess. Should get this 2nd shot.

22 Hotel California - with Lucas C Sport 330m Blue Mountains Mega Classic Mon 20th Jul 2015
Wow, what a route. Hard to get a gauge on difficulty of P1 as seconded with the backpack but dogged the hell out of it and pulled a draw or two. The moves looked and felt more like a 23 to me.

I took even leads and onsited all. Seconded all odds clean. Pitches 2, 6, 7 and 8 were INCREDIBLE. You shouldn't skip the last pitch either...was fun climbing if you ignore the bad rock quality!

22 The Sublime and the Beautiful - with Philbert Blue Sport 75m Blue Mountains Classic Thu 26th Nov 2015
Fantastic technical climbing. All pitches have their interest, pitch two totally kickass climbing, was gutted to fumble the feet and fall at the crux. Managed to complete from there though clean. Watch the rock quality (the classic blueys fake ironstone crumbly black jugs) at the top right of pitch 3 - finished the climb to anchors but went straight up for tree belay, hold snapped, 8-10m whipper easy! Haha. Exciting. P1 - me, onsight P2 - Phil, onsight P3 me, taking the onsight on that! Haha.

Feel like P2 and P3 are soft at grade.

Would be awesome as 1 pitch. Next time....

P1 - Lead onsite P2 - 2nd clean P3 - Lead onsight - what an awesome pitch on arete - best pitch in the blueys I've climbed so far. P4 - 2nd dog up the roof with the backpack. P5 - Lead in the dusk - Thank f**k I packed the head-torch for the 2nd - Tim was climbing in the dark!

Easy walk out, great adventure.
