Ascents as sport by Lachlan B having Distinct route

Feeling shattered after working this for a couple hours today.

The sequence leading into and coming out of the sidepull in the middle is so great! Ticked my first 20 and 21 in the same day, stoked!

Reached the anchor and was surprised by the lack of jugs to clip off, ended up taking a big whip while I dithered. Anyway, the crimps are good and there's no need to shop around for anything better.

Pulled on draws to aid up it at times. Above my paygrade. The clip off the hand jam is very exciting!

Yahoo! Flows once the beta is dialed. Early sidepull is difficult to reach before you work it out, but after the climb opens up. Cool sequence in the middle!

Took a couple small falls working the sustained section.

Very soft?

Fell three moves short of the anchor. The juggy holds encouraged me to climb a bit too slowly, and I gassed. Fantastic climb.

Spent a long time working the crux.

Warning: There is a large loose block sitting on the thin ledge just below and to the left of the 2nd bolt. It's got chalk on it and looks like a fabulous jug.

Anyway, climb was awesome! Slab is thoughtful and the layback section at the top is great when you're pumped!

Didn't get far past the first bolt. Crimpy pockets.

The crux is sequency and feels more like an 18 until you get the beta dialed. Even with the sequence sorted the final deadpoint is quite committing.

Easy start and then when I went around the arete I became stranded looking to go right, not realising that the bolt line further up the arete was the correct line. Came back down.

First section is pretty nails for a weak lad like me. Bring your crimp strength. After that smooth sailing.

A slightly burly boulder problem followed by easy moves.

For my first outdoor lead Mitch thought Philosopher's Stone would be great because of its easy grade (12). Well, I jumped on and I certainly couldn't understand why I was getting spanked by such an easy climb ... until Mitch realised he'd put me onto Isengard by mistake. Classic stitchup.

The mantel to the ledge was a bit spicy, rest was smooth sailing.

Fun! The great juggy-crimp sequence in the bulge is ruined a little (and made more difficult) by having to clip the bolt.

Much much easier when you work out your sequence.

Took a surprise fall at the low-down crux. Worked the rest but will come back for the redpoint another time.

Wacky climb.

Really fun! Wish I had a stickclip for the start.

Was stumped near the top, but more a case of me being a gumby I think.

Seconded pitch 1, the crux of which involved some wacky beta that I was thankful to steal from Aaron, otherwise I had no idea.

Lead pitch 2. The runout bolts (at least to this gym rat's sensibilities) helped my concentration immensely. Classic slab climbing, very enjoyable!

Another lap. Feels a lot harder than The Whorl imo.

It's not hard but I got scared. Stopped before the 2nd last bolt.

Easy and juggy. The crux is clipping the second of the two anchor bolts! Much easier to just mantle out. Fun warmup.

The boulder start is a bit difficult for your belayer to spot.

My first multi! A great last hurrah before heading overseas.

Not a beginner friendly route and not really worth the effort. I skipped the carrot bolt anchor and topped out. Sandy.
