Ascents by Garth Wimbush having Distinct route

The first couple of moves makes the grade. After that it drops to 16 or so. Not Flash, as I had climbed this once before on top-rope.

Mike let me lead both pitches - I had a ball, even with the couple of guanoey ledges...

I fell off the crux move twice before pulling through, then ran out of gear near the top, and had to run it out. I did try a couple of stacked hexes in the arm crack at the top, but I have my doubts about their safety.

I love sea stacks! Perfect weather for this one.

Nice, though not as nice as Asteroid.

No easy tick for the leader - even seconding was hard work.

Nothing like a bit of commitment. The only reason I tried it was because it looked like you sling the peanut. Alas it was not to be, and desperate clinging to the hole eventually got me up.

Need to improve my offwidth skills Great up to there. Bring some bigger gear for the top unless you are comfortable soloing offwidths.

You have to like jamming for the crux down low. Harder than it looks!
