Ascents of Dark Side of a Loon as various tick types

A dogalicious start to the day. Was very close to the OS on pitch one, but had to go in hard multiple times on the second pitch to rest. Felt pretty hard up high

First pitch is absolute gold! 2nd attempt clean out to the lip of roof in big hole, one sit and then to the top. The 24 pitch above is excellent technical face climbing for 30 metresthe then a stiff crux then easier to anchors. Wanted an early finish so left the top 23 for next time! Can't wait to get back on this!!

Fun climbing, does not climb as steep as it looks!

P1 only. Super fun jugging. Got stuck in the roof where a draw too short pinched the rope making clipping way too hard. Lumpy.

P1 only. P2 and P3 look rad, but were wet. Amazing climbing with a hideously chossy (and ridiculously bolted) slab start, leading to outrageous and improbable roof climbing, and an awesome headwall. The 1st 2 bolts in the roof are stupidly positioned (and create epic drag). I struggled with a move mid-roof on the onsight, and rope drag at the lip of the roof, but linked all the awesome steep headwall. Rebolt.... SERIOUSLY!

Awesome position and funky roof moves. worth the approach!
