Ascents of Black Heathen as Attempt

Super nice climb! Love how it has a bit of everything in terms of technicality (high heel mantle, deadpoint, rose move, layback…) so cool! There was two crux moves that I didn’t manage to figure out this session. Keen to try it again!

Popped off at third and came down.

Attempt at the flash, or at least an attempt to regain some endusance.

some progress but still couldn't do the hand jam to flake, or the big move to pocket. some big falls trying to get to the next bolt from the pocket, but lots more to figure out still

Fell at the second bolt lol. Lowered off and got straight back on

Tried it twice. Pretty awesome climb. Those moves at the end are brilliant!

2 unsuccessful attempts. stuck at first crux. Seems lovely though.

Awesome, strong, hard. Have to start doing some bouldering I guess. Figured out the first crux after "a few" falls. Kept falling of the second crux below anchor. Tried all possible combinations and permutations of hand and foot holds - nothing worked. Looking forward to figuring this out.

End of day, outa juice. Such a stellar climb!

Started well, but crux was an instant shutdown. Great rest just below so you can downclimb and have multiple attempts for the onsight. Even with the valuable hand jam beta I still couldn't get through it. With ong arms it would be a breeze. Upper crux was a powerful reachy crimp sequence, not too bad though. Great climb but tough for the grade.

Nice climbing, but I didn't like the mantley bits so much. Took an enormous fall from the 7th or 8th bolt. Trango Cinch's locking mechanism got caught on the belay sling, and I ended up past the belay ledge, about 2 metres from the lower ground level.

With Matt. The absolute best route of the trip. Stunning climbing. Tried hard yet didn't crack the final sequence but that means I get to obsess over it for 12 months and what else has a girl got to think about in her spare time anyway?
