Ascents of Scorpion Direct Start

Another Arapiles classic sandbagged route. It was a tough fight as my finger jams barely held during the crux.

Deserves an extra star, but also a grade or 2 and another 15m

A short little technical jam crack. Bit painful, but interesting.

My first foray into some Arapiles crack! A fight but a good one

Tough start. cool jams

Stiff start off the top of the pillar into the start of the crack! Beta for first sequence starts with left hand thumb down then right hand thumb out and fingers stuffed up and around bulge. “Acapulco gold” - (19) felt easier?

Hard. Dogged it like a big wuss.

Would be tough for shorties...bit of a grunt fest

Tough move to get off the block, feet up then easy to the top.

Super straightforward and quite nice. Not particularly hard but a good warm up for what lies ahead.

Would be hard if you are shorter, as the first move is a reach up to a finger-jam (pinky-crusher). The gear is excellent though. Is a great alternative to Ivan to get to the ledge
