Ascents in Centennial Glen by Luke Yerbury

Quick inspect, fun moves up to a much harder boulder. Didn't manage all the moves, but have an idea for how it must work. Might be interested to try this again without a taped finger

Bit of fart-arsing around trying the moves again. The tight slot is very hard to get well. With a high left heel and deep back flag I can actually get it alright, just felt a bit tough to move feet afterwards. Got the jug and kept my foot on when fingers were set well in the slot. Ran out of inspiration to keep trying it today.

Warm-up, sat at last bolt quite pumped and confused

Quite good, not too hard at the grade and the finish wasn't thaat shit. Probably seen someone on this before, but didn't help one iota

Snuck it in before a dog bit my face.

Took a couple goes to figure the moves out between 3rd and 4th. Not a bad little route to do when youve done all the classics. Will have to return.

Excellent! Cool sequence off the deck. Dropped the onsight at the sideways crux below the roof. Found some sick kneebar beta going up and right instead of right and up. The top jugs reminded me of Wally's World

Surprisingly went hanging the draws today, my Africa beta suddenly came back to me just as I was pulling into the pocket. Probably soft at the grade.

An indecisive day, thought I would chuck a few laps on this, but just the one in the end.

More warm plz

A silly number of amazing pockets on this route. A nice change for a warm-up. Took the right-hand line of bolts. Not sure what the left-hand line of bolts is, but didn't look as nice.

Cheeky night sesh. Felt like better conditions than last time I tried it. Managed all the moves but no crux linkage. Tough to find the feet on the headwall in the dark!

Tried quite hard as I only brought enough chalk to the crag for one attempt.

Rpt warm-up, felt pretty spooodgey.

Not bad. Bit exciting getting to the bolt around the lip. Nice moves on the short headwall.

Couple false starts catching the sloper and not feeling "on", third time was the charm! Psyched!

Quick EOD inspect. Holy fuck they got that good rock in the top half with proper nice moves, but that first crux is a bit rude. Didn't do much on it apart from rip my knuckles open. I'll come back and try it when conditions feel less glassy - and tape up my knuckles!

Warming up on the proj of 3 years ago, cool

Going for the triple crown. Hand on the jug, just didn't latch it properly. Changed the left foot I use for the big move to a bigger, slightly higher dish/pocket, means I can keep the foot on when I catch the jug. Sloper was an actual jug this lap!

Fell hitting the sloper. Lowered and tried again, fell hitting it again. Didn't feel like banging my head against that move all session so I went to clean the route and climbed clean from the sloper to the top. How's that for overlapping halves.

Had one attempt where I reached the crux. Other goes involved ripping flappers on the start crux and getting frustrated that the moves felt harder than 2 days ago. Victim of my own expectations - keen to give it a week or so and come back.

I don't think this is the sandbag it is advertised to be.

Another lap finishing up Africa, fell after the Africa crux because it was one of those days. On reflection I had the sequence close, but subtly wrong.

Bit wild and thrashy down low, but got close to doing the crux on link

Even closer to doing the crux. Felt a tad more relaxed on the slopey jug "rest". Also a bit better lower down, still find it hard to match/move off the big hold after the pocket bump. Figured out I prefer a heel for the flake move

Thought this was as good as any other climb at main wall (even better than some), I'm ashamed I ignored it for so long.

Dear future Luke, low crux requires a right hand lock off from the two-finger pocket, top crux you gotta hit the small left pocket, left foot up, then bump left hand to jug. Bonus: For the flake at the top, get the good crimp with your right hand for a juggy ass sequence.

No ping! Had a lot of fun working this climb

Draw hang, not exactly connies, but pretty close.

Spooge made me ping off the hold while setting up for the throw and I felt like I still had heaps in the tank.

Wasnt going to get on it, but I wanted to test the start boulder again. Draw hanging/remembering lap.

Got through the boulder from the ground for the first time, then fell doing the big drive by. I have now realised this is silly powerful beta and will do the slopey traverse.
