Ascents in The Pinnacles having Beta

Pretty tough for 20.

Also very tough for the grade.

Not trad - 4 carrots with no anchor. This was the first outdoor climb I ever did years ago. Thought I'd give it another whirl to see how my memory is. Dirty, sharp, short, nothing great and have to get someone to second to clean using boulder as anchor.

Fairly certain this is what we climbed. Enjoyable intro to Bulahdelah. Good stances for most clips. Moment of fear 7 bolts up when a red-bellied black snake took an interest in my belayer.

Definatly classier if you don't bridge. An easier version of Billy Woods.

Second warm up. Ben is a little easier and better.

Not bad. Different seeing slopers in Bula

Little contrived, felt a bit awkward through the rooflet.

Short & Pumpy

Finger training seems to be working. Hang on tight!

Tough side pull. Hard.

Nice line. More routes to go on this pinnacle.

Big moves off small holds. Tough getting 3rd draw on. Def not a 23.

Cleaned up heaps off loose stuff down low, tough few moves then a ramble to the top.

Interesting moves, tough sequence. So good I did a few laps.

Thin

2nd shot, first go to find the holds. Then not to bad, pretty thin down the bottom.

It was like every hold was facing the wrong way! Thought provoking.

2nd go. Tricky to find the good holds. Nice little problem.

Did this a while back. I think I prefer right side of arete to finish.

Its had one ascent. Its blocky. Make your own judgement.

Nice moves and some cool pockets

Quite a fun route and doesnt interfere with BB at all

Took a while to sort sequence, hard to third bolt then an easy 12 to the top. Great climb.

Excellent and long. Easy in middle but clean and fun with exposure at end.

Consistently thin enough to keep you thinking. Looks mossy but not an issue.

Couple of goes on dusk. Likely 24 staying right. Goes at 22 staying left so unfortunately a tad contrived.

Completely drugged up on Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. A desperate tick before heading to Sth America

Nice moves. Rock a little suss but should clean up. Not too bad. First pitch alone to 1st anchor is OK in own right

Hmmm, the hanging garden on top ledge is nice.

The old carrots are a bit sketchy in placement, the top half makes this a great long route with a top of pinnacle finish

Fell off the start a few times. Pumpy and fingery. Not too bad if you like this type of thing

Quite goey for the first 3 bolts. 3 rd shot overall

Feels like 24 to me. 2nd shot after chickening out getting to 2nd ring bolt, rapping and putting long sling on it.
