Ascents in The Moai

Done as one pitch. Excellent climbing. Very memorable day.

The one long pitch... A big hold had recently broken off above the first bolt but I doubt it really changes the grade. A couple of interesting moves and a couple of cams takes you to the half way ledge and a rest before attacking the upper pitch. I found the top sequence harder and not as good as I thought it would be. Sadly its contrived and hard to stay off the top moves of Sacred Site.

Awesome lower 3/4 but the top is contrived. Still great fun!

Climbed as one giant pitch. Amazing gritstone-esque climbing in a stunning position, with a hard flake move at the bottom, and a sustained thin technical arete at the top. Unfortunately the last few metres are contrived, but climbing the natural line makes for a great experience.

My first climb in Tassie

A classic route in a stunning setting. completely spoilt for our first Tassie climbing experience.

WHOOOOOAAAAAA this route was amazing. Lighly pumpy, a couple of cruxes, but amazing thoughtful moves throughout. One of those climbs you look up at the next section and think "really?" until you take the next move and it somehow comes together (mostly).

Beautiful day, stunning spot, fabulous feature, fine route.

I love climbs that take you on a journey! Going direct at the finish was diceyyyy.

First pitch is great, second pitch starts great, then the top is a bit meh. I found myself on a jug on the 18 near the last bolt before topping out. Insane winds and damp rock made it exciting times!

Repeat. Good to get this one clean again Retro Flash as its quite hard at the grade. P1 is nails at 20 but magnificent climbing, P2 starts of brilliant but becomes a contrived eliminate (to climb direct) at the end. Still a damn good climb.

Only climbed first half. Not a short person climb.

great climbing in an unmatches position. Sneaky lower crux which was pretty nails, and top crux is as insecure as it can get. bit contrived up top.

Lovely climbing! Put in a big fight at the top but made it. Awesome!

Gave it a fair whirl but couldn't last the top crux moves. Felt tricky for the grade. Great climb & position.

Incredible climbing, blew a foot through the moves into the undercling. Heart breaking

Had to bail around 2-3 bolts from the top. Fantastic climbing till then. Didn't have enough left in my fingers to clip on the arete from a tricky position with bad feet and slopers! Took a few whippers which was fun. Will get this next time and maybe could have stuck some gear in to help me dog up to clip. Next time will be more careful to pull the rope too so I don't get the end wet!

Classic link up. All clean till the second last bolt - then upward from there placing all the gear along the way. Ripper

Got flashpumped on my first shot and forgot how to climb.... took a whip and sent it easily second go! So much fun climbing on the tower and good that it isn't just in a crazy position, it's a great route too!

Somehow held it together through the mega flash pump. Such a lovely, classy climb that builds till the end. Stoked to have done this.

In a oner. Brilliant stiff P1 part and good but not as good as expected climbing up the arete. I had no beta for the top and didn't know what was in and out so just went with the most natural line. Didn't feel that hard so maybe wasn't right but if it's that unclear it's the sign of being pretty contrived. Whatever - great route nonetheless and amazing top-out

Went a bit left at the arete, was stoked with a no rest ascent!

Pretty sandbagged for 22 got the whole route without too much issue and was shut down 2 bolts from the top.

Hard!

Excellent climbing up the face down the bottom and arete up the top - done in one pitch.

Enjoyed the first half of the pitch but the last 5m is either laughable at 22 (straight up) or not as pretty (left into the groove).

First day of the tassie trip. "First pitch" clean onsight and then came off at the top. Spectacular and hard climbing.

Did in one long ascent first part clean on sight then fall on the 2nd bolt from the top the last section must be harder then a 22 not sure if you use groove on the left or face climb straight above bolts enjoyed it
