Ascents of Pokamoko (and the Valley Girl)

Popped off at first crux. Missed foot placement.

Felt good all through to halfway corner balancy-ness. Ticked the wrong footers which blew the sequence facepalm

Agonisingly close, but a bloody fun go! Through bottom and middle cruxes, to fall at last crux, about 2m from the end of the main business. Ran out of juice for the long lock-off. Think I had 1 sit then to the top. Would've gone if I was more power-endurance fit. Looks like no time to get back out there this year unfortunately, so I'm looking forward to next season! Best single pitch I've ever been on.

Top rope solo morning. All the moves are done, not fully dialled in but semi-memorised! Getting psoiiiiched!

Highpoiiiint! Got up past crux to the mid-way corner then slipped off, missing the good gaston. Then, gale-force winds came in and climbing got really stressful, so toproped the rest. Did all moves but for one pulling onto the base of the final arete. Feeling very psyched.

Yeah baby we're back! Made it past the crux to the first rooflet on this burn. Figured out solid beta for low arete crux, as well as gear and beta for the offwidth start, which isn't too bad once you get the knack.

Made it to the headwall. Jugged up raprope to clip one of them. New positions of bolts around the rooflets post-rebolt are questionable ... both have been moved a foot higher than the old bolt positions, and our of reach of comfortable clipping positions. Not very well thought out.

SUPER DOPE. What a rad crux! Only made it two bolts up, but stoked to figure out the crux beta. Couldn't make the mega-highstep work for me, so I chanced upon some solid alt beta. Skipped the O/W start as I was spooked with the lack of gear. Will try it next time!

Had one go on top rope in the sun. amazing and technical climbing.

Way out of my league, but quality climbing in an awesome position
