Ascents in North Grampians as Hang dog

Great line! Features pop up and disappear perfectly for a sustained yet varied climb. One rest on P2 not realising i was meant to keep traversing left, P3 was very easy at the grade.

Don’t see how this one is possible lol. Maybe one day

TRS couldn't get the dyno or the mantle as the rope protraxtion wouldn't let me get super close to the wall but linked from there to the top.

Dogged the hard bits, a heady lead for sure! Pumpy! Big regrets taking my jacket haha. Loved the crazy full lower body rest before the crux

Excellent route, sustained upper half. Rock platform at base of route ideal for naps

Cool Cruxy move matched the Gaston and think with some good high right feet will get me past the crux. Defo want to give this a whirl next time.

First whip on trad gear, thanks for bomber placements dan doggy

First pitch was exciting (and pants filling - my first brownpoint) but the second was average and a bit annoying. We topped out left of the top wall to avoid insane rope drag but there was much faff with the belay, might be a better way to do it because it took us forever. There's a ~45m rap station at the top off a sling.

My first trad climb! Made the mistake of body jamming the crack on the second pitch and so I had to take a sit because I missed a few good holds just right of the crack.

We were interrupted by a rescue helicopter which hovered just 15-20m over me during the second pitch. One of the most interesting points of the climb.

Throughly enjoyed belaying from the second belay point. The abseil in the end was a treat!

Super cool boulders. One hard move on slopes at the first bolt I struggled with, rest felt great. Solid link from 2nd bolt, through crux to just below the top. Totally doable. Will be back on a cooler day.

Progress. Did the first boulder from the ground. Linked from bolt two to the top. Stick with it!!

Linked from the ground into 2nd crux, but felt miles away from doing it. Linkee again from there to the top. Baby steps. Need to ramp up the power for this thing, and have it 10 degrees cooler.

New beta unlocked 2nd crux. Game on!

Oh man, what a line!! Haven't been this psyched on a route for a while! One exploratory lap, all moves easy bar 2n which just need a bit more skin and oomph. I will do this route!

Smackdown! Felt 3 grades harder than last time. Strugled with both boulders

Sorted first crux move and played on main crux.

Awesome way to finish 2019. Starting to link some moves together. Bolt 2 through till 5 (first crux). Figured out the beta and body position for top crux and repeated sequence half a dozen times. Fitness will come with time on the route. Pretty psyched to do this thing. Amazing moves and rock.

First burn, fell at top boulder. 4 moves to go.

Busted of low crux, then linked from below first crux to top.

Deiceded to have one more go, another promising burn. Still managed the link from below first crux to top... super promisisng at end of the day. Overlapping sections and one sit every shot.

Nice route. Found some heel-toe-foot-knee-leg beta that helps up top. Next time!
