Ascents in North-West Serra Range

With Kev, lead both pitches with a couple of rests.

Tried to stay in the left crack all the way up to the top, which didn't work out at all. Right hand side crack offers a great undercling followed by a pull-up with no feet on a piece of rock stuck in the crack. Not sure about the 12 here, but good feeling once done.

Thought that was 'Mookie" (12), but turned out to be the wrong crack. Had to go through a lot of bush on the slab, and a lot of saplings on every ledge all the way to the top. However, turned out to be too much fun not to describe the route here.

Bit off more than we could chew. Made it up to about 10 m from the start. First crack was horrible, couldn't find decent holds to place gear and was shaken afterwards. Well, maybe another time. Walked up to the top to abseil down to retrieve gear.

We couldn't find our way to the start of 'White Woman' and ended up in front of this nice chimney. After cleaning the route from a lot of scree, it was quite some fun to climb.

Of course, at the top, the start of White Woman, it was totally obvious how to get up there on the other side…

The climbing in the orange section (the middle half of the route) was really good. The rock for the rest of the route felt suspect, and I didn't enjoy that much at all.

Pitch 1 only.

I don't think I'm quite as excited about your mum's 20 year old boyfriend. When the climbing is not easily escapable, it's really good. But for the first 6 bolts I felt like I was cheating by stepping left (maybe I was).

Fun little line.

Almost had it on the second go... Sustained fun!

Super fun climb, would be a total classic if not for the choss at the start.

Some of the orange corner looked loose so I climbed beside it. Despite this I highly recommended it.

The loose rock near 1st clip has been cleared.

2 sections near the bulge I couldn't do, had to bail. 1 crucial hold was quite slick.

Didn't read the route very well and fell on the 1st bolt

Wasn't able to do all the moves on this 25 either. May be harder than 25 along with Red Chili Nights.

Finished it off for Pete.

Really good climbing on suspect rock. Only 1 hand hold and 1 foot hold broke off. Don't sit underneath anyone climbing in this area.

Took a fall on the second pitch.

The first half is really good face climbing. Second half and crux is pinch city. Loose rock galore keeps you on track and stops you venturing too far left around the arete.

The slab on the first pitch was pretty nice. Pitch 2 had awesome exposure and some tricky moves.

Pumpy moves after the dicky traverse. Took 1 fall and pulled off a brick sized hold near the top that got the heart pumping. All in a days work at Dreamtime,

Difficult start, had to have a take at the first bolt. Some pretty cool moves and side clings all the way to the anchor.
