Great gear great moves, not much to complain about

Amazing climbing. First pitch is hard.

Powerful line. Placed too many cams low down, down climbed from crux to retrieve gear. looking forward to getting back on it.

Finally led second pitch. All quality. Alex did great on pitch 1. A lot harder than I remember.

Awesome! fun and varied. pretty epic moves pulling around the roof, super cool. cruxy through the crack above, had to work hard to place the gear and pull through! Nice little bit of face climbing above that. pitch 1 only, finished up space cowboy.

Was certainly a bit of a battle! Going over the lip was okay until I decided that none of my feet could be trusted and sat around pumping myself out. The magical solution was to... trust my feet and commit to them properly. As usual.

Second pitch was also good fun, little tricky with key footholds being soaked. Was great to see Stu getting on his first trad lead in a while and trying hard moves, taking a whip or 2 in the process.

Just the first pitch (new rap anchor at end of first pitch!!?!?) So good.

Lead the 1st pitch (tricky crux), then followed Mitch Scanlan-Bloor up Space Cowboy (very cool) as an alt-finish

I was looking forward to bashing myself on the pointy end of a 21 at the pipes but weather conditions didnt allow for it with alot of the cracks still seeping from the incipient rain of days prior. Turned out condis didnt really allow battlecruiser either but we still did it. While there is an undeniable feeling of loss from having holds eliminated by water and moss, knowing that they could have provided excellent movement characteristic of a 3 star climb, there is a tingling feeling of adventure knowing that the grade and gear availability of the route is much less guaranteed. We knew that we could be in for much more than 18 looking up at the running waterfall from the ground. Alot of jams were wet and unusable, however in the end there was enough face holds to pass with fairly exciting at-the-grade climbing. Bringing wet vs dry holds into the climbing equation as another variable felt ultra trad! We were also tested with regard rope efficiency. 3 blokes, 2 multis, twin ropes, 1 afternoon, 1 big shit in the bushes down nearer the scree, 1 very questionable approach to sky rocket. Pretty solid effort from the boys getting all this done. One of the best days of climbing to call curtains on this section of the trip.

First route in Tassie and felt like one of the best ever. Like Frog but with more jugs and a million dollar view. First pitch crux took me by surprise but pulled out some desperate smears, 2nd is committing to head out on the diagonal but it's all there. Didn't go to the top, looks rambly after second bolted anchor, rapped from there ~50m.

I was in the onsight mood and even passing the roof went cruisy. Apparently the crux, but it was not. The crux is the bulging crack above the roof. Got pumped going up and down trying to figure out the sequence and set on the gear. BTW we gear on the route is amazing. A bit tricky but not physical sequence involves jamming and smearing until you get good feet. And it is easy again after that. Sad I did not do it clean but it takes some time to get used to smearing on Organ Pipes dolerite.

Crux on pitch 1 is hard and scary as f***, no idea how David pushed through that lead. Crux on pitch 2 is just scary... P2 is longer than 40m and the rap off point is above the myrtle trees to the left

Quick climb before running to the airport. It had me at my limit in the crux, very committing and thin. P2 would have been very committing on lead, with no idea what comes next, but was all there. Ropes got stuck on the way down and couldn't afford the time to go up and free them.

Superb rock and movement. P1 only.
