Ascents in Octopuses Garden

Too dark come back to work this another time.

2x shots. Broke some holds the first go. Didn't superman. Totally aight pulling off the ground.

FFA. Pumpy start, pleased to get onto ledge at base of headwall. easy top out.

Removed a nice chunk of rock at the start which took a nice chunk out of my helmet. Nice climbing, but remember to wear your helmet at Nindery, or your trip can end very differently.

Dogged attempting to figure out the moves. Hard move coming off the ledge with a burly but fun boulder problem across the upper face

Very dirty, not worth it even if you’ve hauled your rack all the way up the approach.

The top out ledge which hides the anchors was covered in a ferny mat and prevented placing snake pro. This mat is now at the bottom of the crag. Had to traverse right onto Pitcairn at the obvious seam. Was on doubles so easy enough to protect.

Got taken out by a skinny tree, broke a branch off on the way down.

Felt a bit stiff, was pretty sweaty though and last climb of the day.

Bit awkward and tricky but got there in the end

I didn't find the part of this route that "needs some thought". Seemed obvious and easy to me.

The description doesn't do this justice. It's a great climb with a tough finish

Clean to the 6th bolt. Nice layback to approach the anchor but some pump and a difficult sequence saw me fall. Got it after a rest.

Good route. Found the finish to be a little stiff for a 20 though. Maybe a hold broke?

On cleaning duties.

Good climbing, tricky at the end.

Good crux sequence but top is covered in dirt and lichen. Bombed the onsight but clean on top rope.

Fell at the last move finding a hold to clip the anchors from!

Lead next time, stick to right for solid crimps

Tricky at the top. Bummer the quality of rock isnt so crash hot near the anchor, spoils an otherwise great route.

Whoever gave this two stars was ambitious. One or two interesting moves, but save your energy for something else!
