Ascents in Crossroads

Coming together.

been a while but im back. after refreshing the trail from spot x to crossroads, we arrived at the cliff a little tired. First go on lead saw me confused & wandering off route after a few bolts. Managed my way up to just shy of the mid way anchors, questioning my life choices. Slightly scared, slightly tired but good to be back on & try remember the moves.

This place & route still scares the shit outta me

second time on the wall & just top roped the lower section up to mid-way anchors. firmed up the beta & left the draws on. Need to come back & spend some time sussing the top half, should be interesting!

Such a great climb, helmet definitely recommend as some inadvertent trundling occurred.

Very happy to do this putting the draws up with great running beta from Lee. Exciting the whole way, and probably my best ever Popeye impersonation.

Used this as a warm up one morning which was actually sort of doable, because it was bouldery to a rest, bouldery to a rest, repeated.

FFA. Sent first go of the day. This is the most difficult route I've ever had to grade. It's 24/5 for 35m, then a V8? morpho boulder problem for 10m. Stuffed if I know, certainly the hardest moves on the cliff.

Zero chance on the flash. So hard to see what to do up there, really took some figuring out.

No dramas on shot #2. Punchy moves I really liked.

many times up & down cleaning & working beta. cant wait to get back on & finish this beast!

Some really cool holds on this one - very solid rock generally. Not easy.

Best burn so far.

Climbed the first half to have a look, with Nath on Belay. Seems really good! didn't go higher as saving energy for Cthulhu. Get it Nath!

Crux is so weird. No like.

This is my least favourite of the routes on the wall, only because it kicked my arse and the crux is really hard for me!

One of the cleanest lines on the cliff thanks to Reido's work ethic. Good job dude!

My proudest FFA to date. Long, exposed, and just gets harder the higher you get. Thankfully, everytime you think you're gonna punt there's a rest! My 'classic' vote is based on my experience.

This one felt 25/6. Second ascent.

FFA. This has had a few ascents now. One of the easier routes on the wall.

Doing some work on it. Installed halfway lower-off.

Dogged - top was wet.

Flash placing the gear. I thought this was 25 at the time, could very well be 26 though.

Thought this was 25 as well. Really hard to know with these routes. They're all similar.

This has some great rock and you really need to climb. More sustained than most Crossroads routes. [3]

FFA. This is cool. It has a ton of big rests with steep jugging in between. The top is mucho exciting. Needs a second ascent.

FFA. Climbed this in long pants and a jumper, so it must have been good conditions. Very hard to grade this one. It's similar to One Hit To The Body. Such cool go-for-it moves up top. Lots of big falls.
