Second shot today. Psyched on this climb, one of the best I've climbed at Sand River. Even climbing it to the second fixed draw would be a rad 25. I got 3 different kneebars in the scoop.
The mantle crux is a bastard though! Hard 27.

Campus start heading up and left.
A slightly confusing climb. 26 if you head straight up and slightly left at the last bolt. I was fixated on going up and right at the last bolt as it seemed logical, but doing this involves an awkward dyno at around 28. |

Rad day out!
The climbing was a touch dirty in places but that's expected as this is an epic place. The 26 pitch was great, the boulder problem in the corner felt hard but I'm a bit out of shape. Solved with granite squirm style! A knee pad would change things. There where a couple of spots where clipping was difficult, pre equip for sure. The desperate and scary mantle got easier as I pulled a minger off leaving a positive slot. |
