Ascents in South East as Onsight as sport by Cameron Semple

Great fun the whole way. Awesome climb for the first day of summer. Lead first and third. First onsight at the grade.

Good fun to climb from near the water level with consistent slabbing.

Another excellently route. Good length, sustained, steep and exposed. Maybe on the hard side for 18, at least the way I did the crux. Ended up maybe going a bit high before the traverse.

Pity about the ledges, but each section of this climb is awesome and provides varied challenges. The top section is especially good.

Wow! A steep, quality low grade climb in Southern Tas! Good stuff. A sting in the tail though.

Really enjoyable! A mix of crack and juggy, but balancy, moves flow really well.

Great route. Lots of good holds.

Fun

Good option. Probably a nicer way to finish this line. Be very suspicious of the big block to the right of the crack at about the third bolt. Vibrates and sounds hollow. Looks to be held in by mud. Hard to avoid though.

Nice position and feature to climb, but a one move wonder.

Also good. Thin down low then exciting arete moves up high. Harder than Impeachment.

Nice route. Hard start and balancy finish. Start is definitely harder than Penny Black, but the rest is potentially easier.

Some tricky moves.

Weird third bolt placement. Nice airy route. Strenuous start.

Didn't have time to climb out the cliff today, so did this to get a sample of the remainder of the routes. Take care with some of the clips before you get higher.

Also a bit weird. Maybe a more consistent climb at around 15 if you skip the bolt out to the left and climb closer to the corner near the top.

Really nice route if you're tall and can reach between the good holds through the bulge. Otherwise maybe add a grade or two.

Some tought moves near the bottom (watch the loose rocks). Awesome juggy steepness up higher.

Ok, but some average rock and a big ledge detracted a bit. Some tricky moves for 17 down low and will potentially get harder as the holds deteriorate.

Not bad. Turns out we did the top section of Guilty, as Charged here. Lots of bolts here, really just a matter of choosing your own adventure.

Some great moves. This wall was all pretty dirty today. Harder for shorter people.

Probably the hardest moves of this block of 4.

Maybe slightly harder than Deep State.

First onsight at the grade. Ice-creams all round! The most surprised person was me when the crux move stuck. Brilliant end to a beautiful winters day.

Pretty sure the climbing was nice. Mostly good rock. Just couldn’t feel my fingers. So cold!

Nice climbing. Tricky finding some of the holds.

Excellent! Classic of the bolted crack, chossy roof, short climb genre. Seriously though, great fun and packs a lot into such a short route. Not sure how long that hanging cluster of jugs at the roof will hang around though. Take care.

Awkward, dirty introduction to crack climbing.

Similar quality to Golden Anniversary, but definitely a little trickier. Milk the jambs!

Good climb. Some moves are a bit stiff for 16 I felt.

A nice sequence at the crux with some interesting moves for SR.

Start was cool. Had to do it twice because I forgot to bring more than 2 draws.

Not sure if I did this right either, but whatever I did had some moves on par with TBLTC.
