Ascents in Austria by Christoph Rauch

We changed lead every now and then. Took us 5 hours to get up, we were quite slow. Our route finding skills need to be developed a bit more, I guess. Halfway up, friends of the guys who did the first ascent passed us! In the final climbing rope length, we took the direct route through the "schwarzes Wandl" (UIAA 7), which was short but quite demanding. To top it all off, we forgot one of the double ropes on the summit, but luckily got it back a week after, because another climber took it with him. Turned out he's acquainted to Stefan Glowacz and other "stars" of the area, so we had a nice chat on his porch with a cold beer before going home.

Rewarding route. Lots of scrambling between the climbing, it took us about 4 hours from base to summit, plus an hour approach and about 2 hours descent (including breaks). The very first move is already quite polished and a bit intimidating, but it gets better further up.

Gave it another shot after the sun came out again. If I remember correctly, we took the exit of the route "Luggi" instead of the original route.
