Ascents of Litige

Sam linked the two pitches on the way up so I ended up just following.

Lead P1, followed P2

Lead P2, followed P1 -- but not clean.

There are two anchors at end of the 1st pitch -- one is at the base of the head wall up and right. This one has a better stance for belaying. The other is more directly below the crack of the 2nd pitch. This one gives a better view of your leader. When rappelling, the lower anchor reaches the bottom with a 60m rope, while the upper right one doesn't quite.

A beautiful climb.

An awesome climb -- the first pitch is mostly quite easy, except for the 4 or 5 opening moves, which are quite thin slab, 5.7+; the rest mostly 5.5.

The 2nd pitch, though, is where it really shines -- a lovely (bolted) crack, that goes from just of large hands, through fist, to off-width.

The first moves are tricky, friction slab climbing, and I feel bad that I fell after the first bolt... but the rest of the pitch is pretty easy.
