Ascents in Le Mur Principale as trad by David Gibbs

Might be 5.7 if you avoid pulling on the large loose block.

Good climbing, but really hard for5.8, and looks like the gear would be tricky to place, too.

I was not able to make the moves past bolt 2, yet I was able to climb "L'Entre Deux" (5.10b) later the same day. No way those moves are 5.9.

More crack-protected face climbing than crack climbing. Not a bad climb, but not my favourite.

5.7 with crack skills, harder without.

Good climbing and good gear.

Opening move is very height dependent -- and far harder than 5.7 for someone to short to make the direct move to the first jug.

Gear is iffy... for the first several meters after the bolt, then solid for the rest.

Did not climb at all like 5.6 -- reachy, pumpy, and with non-obvious gear placements and bad fall consequences.
