Ascents in Murrin Park having Beta

Not enough gear

So good every time!

So cool! Got the giant reach, but fell a few times on the smeary laybacking.

Awesome! Some really cool sequences, I suspect I shall love the faces here. Fell first at low crux, but worked out beta with a hand traverse L that was cool! crimpy incut side pulls made for lovely climbing. Top crux was cool and funky with some strong moves up into an undercling. So pumpeddd at the top going on to the slab that I fell. Scary airy slab at the top!

First climb in Squam! Nice intro to the rock here.

Mixed holds, juggy overhang at the beginning, slabby later.

This route seems to be the wettest in Woodstock. After a good amount of sun, one of the crux holds was still a puddle.

Sharp! Messed up the crux first go and got it on the second. This felt harder to me than Betazoid... Maybe it was because it was the last climb of the day, the top was super dirty, or I didn't take a rest after my first burn.... Hmmm which excuse do I want to pick ha ha

So fun!! 1st go figured the beta out, 2nd go it went down. Kinda wished it was twice as long...

Performance is not satisfied. Remember to warm up on a chilly morning.

My first Trad lead

Got dark and TR was already setup. could have led. moves all there. route is a bit wandery though

did it clean this time. needed a take first time i did this route some months ago.

Fantastic route, fat fingers make the crux a lot harder.

Ran outta gas at the first crux.

Tough locks near the top! But an absolutely stunning climb. Definitely a top 100!

Not your typical Squamish Trad lead! 5.8 moves, 5.10 head game. Fun.

Great value for the grade. If it was only longer!

Went off route to the right, avoiding the roof section.

Tough first move. Good hand jams for lower section. Pulling the roof is committing but holds are there. upper chimney climbed by right hand in the crack.

Second half looks thin and tough to protect but moves are all there.

Crimpy crux is fun. Tried to match a heal hook to the right hand a couple of times, but it didn't work. Eventually did it the "normal" way

2nd go

Pretty good warmup, I could reach a good hold without doing a strenuous traverse move at the top.

I don't understand why this route has so many stars in the book. Maybe the start is worth 10a, the rest feels like a 5.6. The move at the beginning is not very nice and not protectable.

Look, it's a cool climb... It's just not an 11c, and is very run out. Weird scary finish and hard crux
