A Crag Guide gives an extensive view of all sub areas and climbs at a point in the index. It shows a snapshot of the index heirachy, up to 300 climbs (or areas) on a single web page. It shows selected comments climbers have made on a recently submitted ascent.
At a minor crag level this should be suitable for printing and taking with you on a climbing trip as an adjunct to your guidebook.

★★ Baby Steps
BEWARE OF THE SLOPING FALL BELOW. Within the cluster of boulders in the area. This one is the first you encounter. On the smoothest face of this boulder there are plenty of pockets and bulbs to ascend on. Easy for new climbers. FA: Karim Sedky, 11 Dec 2020 | 3 | 2m

AK47
Short traverse right, starting with some good jugs to a hard move and a sharp finishing hold. WARNING TOP OUT IS SKETCHY. Would recommend the finishing jug left of the crack. FA: Karim Sedky | 6A+ | 3m
3 |
★★ Too Many Creeps
On a slightly overhanging face, follow the L shaped line to a good top out. Set: Hazem El Shamy FFA: Laurie Tremblay | 6A | 5m

★★ Bambino
Climb a pocket covered slab towards a juggy vertical top-out. FFA: Hesham Al Qersh FA: Hesham Al Qersh | 5 | 7m

★★ Bassti's Crack
On the wall just right of "The lonely boulder", climb towards the obvious longitudinal crack. This is the original line to follow, a variation is possible starting just below the crack, but features less secure holds. FA: Karim Sedky | 6A | 5m |

- Summary:
-
1 route in Area
Lat / Long: 29.946931, 31.388855

Edge of Time
This boulder is a beautiful introduction to climbing on small edges and balancing on microscopic foot holds. The first of its kind: “the edge of time” boulder is covered in tiny crystals and climbs like a gem. Spread yourself thin over its smooth surface to make it straight to the top. | 6C |
1.1.5. Canyon Area
- Summary:
-
2 routes in Area
Lat / Long: 29.939488, 31.425077
summary
This area is situated below the Wadi-Degla Visitor's center. It is a short channel of hard limestone walls that vary in heights between three and eight meters.
description
This areas features the hardest and most reliable limestone, as is consistently experiences water erosion from rain fall and flooding. This is why you often find pools of green water at the bottom of the canyon.
access issues
They will ask you to pay access to the Protectorate. Sometimes the front gate to the visitor's center is locked shut, however I have found no issues in parking before the gate and walking in on foot.
approach
The canyon is highly visible from the heights of the Visitor's Center. Follow the most logical path downwards, avoid running as some slopes lead to short cliff drops. There is usually a clear path on the rightmost slope designated by previously traveled steps.
where to stay
N/A
ethic
As with any other area in Wadi Degla, it is your responsibility to respect the natural environment and be as attentive to your impact on it as you climb and walk through it. Do not remove plant life and do your best to collect garbage and promote cleanliness.

★★ The Womb
A short but cute sit-start boulder which originally exits directly but can alternatively (harder) exit right. FA: Karim Sedky, 19 Dec 2021 | 5+ | 2m

★★★ Swamp Crack
An incredible four meter roof crack which links to a top out on to the lip of the Wadi Degla Canyon. A great opportunity to practice foot jams and climbing efficiently. After climbing the crack mantle over the bulge and stand up. WARNING the highest rock formations at the lip of the canyon are crumbly. FA: Karim Sedky, 19 Dec 2021 | 6B | 5m |
