Ascents in Hiltpoltstein by Christoph Rauch having sport-cpr or ascent-date

Good pocket climbing. The pockets seeped a little and were slimy from all the chalk, though. Airy finish. Careful, longer than the rest of the routes here.

Flowy.

Cool line starting out with a crack leading into a short blank section with only two small crimps; once you've pulled on these to the jugs, it's slightly athletic to the top. You can clip the anchor while sitting in the little recess.

The first bolt is in an uncomfortable position. Even more uncomfortable are the sharp pockets directly afterwards. But since you can step out to the right wall, it gets easier quickly. Crux is to get onto the final slab, on tiny, sharp crimps.

A nice climb in superb rock. Quite delicate and not too easy for the grade.

Great line in perfect rock. No real crack technique necessary, unfortunately. ;-)

Pulls up along a shallow crack. Felt almost harder than "Terminator" to me, took me a while to commit to the pockets in the slab because the crack was just too bad. Probably just missed something. Nice topout.

Good, reachy boulder start to the first bolt, then steep and juggy.

Nice route, but I made a fatal mistake of trying to go a bit to the right of the bolt at the crux, which turned out to be quite hard. And on top of that, I realized I had to traverse to the left, with holds for neither hands nor feet. I felt quite stupid, because the others were talking about going to the left in that place.

Climbed the lower part without further ado. Nice to see that I seemingly got better since 2015. ;-) Took my time to get through the nice middle part, then decided to take the left finish as described in the Schwertner guide (which is apparently wrong, but climbs nicely), rushed it a bit and got myself stuck a meter below the anchor.

Nice little arête, the vegetation in your back is a little distracting.

Good moves, slightly sharp and small holds, but not painful in my opinion.

More a boulder than a route, but I can see why the line was bolted. Great two or three moves directly up the prow. It's certainly not harder than 6+, just unusual. It's certainly fun. Would deserve a "good" rating if it was longer.

Good little climb next to "Terminator". I felt the hardest part was getting to and over the first bolt, then it gets gradually easier.

Had the second bolt pre-clipped. The passage to the third bolt is tricky and bouldery. Didn't want to give it another go today after yesterday's exhausting attempts, even though it's quite short.

Little dihedral to the ledge, then up the chimney a little to the sharp arête.

Fell on the last move; shouldn't have switched beta. ;-)

Fell in the last overhang … marvellous route, awesome moves, great finish.

Long way to the third bolt, but good jugs there, then some hard moves in the roof including a nice mono.

Didn't work out today, but I need to come back some time.

Definitely nothing to do with the 6th grade, except if you force yourself to not use any holds more than 30 cm to the left of the bolt.

Juggy route that stays just to the right of the dihedral.

Cool route; big holds, a little bit pumpy for the grade, and already polished.

High second bolt, difficult to clip. Lots of small finger pockets.

Strange, with a few seemingly loose blocks in the middle and suboptimal protection.

Could be better if it was about three times longer. Nice big jugs, but after scrambling up to the ledge it's only boulder length.

Actually quite a nice, easy and juggy slab. #warmup

Very high first bolt, but you could put a long sling around the tree half way up.
