Ascents in Sächsische Schweiz having Beta

Took me one hour to get an ascent of this pearl!

After first checking out this beautiful king line of Bahratal together with Robert W and Gordon Lesti on 25/07/2020, trying it at the end of April 2023 I realized that I was finally strong enough for all the moves and had about 1-2 half day sessions on it while being in Bahratal figuring out all the moves and creating links. In November 2023, I fully committed to it, entered project mode and had 7 full day sessions only working on Wild East (04/11/2023, 07/11/2023, 18/11/2023, 08-10/03/2024 & 16/03/2024), always feeling quite close to sending it. Today, after warming up and dialing in the second crux and top, it all finally clicked and I was able to send it in my first full go.

Soft

Basically three hard moves and a dyno. Didn't use the bad crimp below the jugs on the edge but only the tiny sidepull crimp.

Tried a high variant first, but couldn't link the moves, so I resorted to traversing the low slopers to the arête.

Worked out a solution that keeps to the right of the arête, but couldn't finish it anymore.

Should have tried this while fresh 🙃

Took 2 tries to get the starting sequence, smooth sailing from there, despite suboptimal conditions.

The starting moves of this boulder very much depend on which feet are allowed - used the top-right block only.

Good crack boulder. Got all the moves, but was too beat to link everything up.

Harte Scholz 10a! Die Dauerschlinge nach dem 3. R muss mal gewechselt werden.

Nice boulder, but I couldn't figure out a way to get into the vertical sloper rails before the massive hole in the roof.

This seemed so close...

And sapped all my energy

The big left undercling start hold seems to be broken (a matching block was lying beside the boulder). Starting with the small ledge above that hold still feels like 6c in my opinion.

Good line, pretty location, good landing, bad rock quality, smooth polished holds

Low-ball, traverse, good quality, perfect landing

I didn't cross, instead using all my wingspan and some core to keep my feet to the right

First try on the third session, finally knew the beta and had enough power left to hold the top... almost had it in the second session but was already quite out of power

Nice little arête, the first one or two moves are the hardest.

Nothing that hard, but I had to mess every move up once before it went.
