Ascents in Kinloch

Nice enough crack, but I have been at Arapiles recently so have high standards

The piton looked a bit suss, but it seemed ok.

The first pro (piton) is quite high. Make sure to have belayer spotting

My first 23 flash! Many thanks to Alexei for all the beta, which I took time to visualise well before going. Fun bouldery sequence on small crimps/sidepulls to sloper-jug at the 2nd bolt, then eases off into a ~17/18 grade 🧡💛

Grade comes from the boulder problem to second bolt. Couldn’t read it on the onsight attempt.

Second go. Fell on boulder problem again but worked out the beta and went to the top.

Third go. Foot beta still not great and foot slipped at the end of boulder problem.

Red point 4th go. Adjusted foot beta and it felt easy. Boulder problem is really cool. Top of the climb is pleasant, but a bit dirty.

Thought I had done this one before but couldn't have as it only had naked bolts in it. Thanks for rebolting Dan (at a guess) First move was a pretty gross crux on sharp pockets, I am guessing the crack is not in being as the original bolt was further left. If it was in, well I made life harder for myself 🤷‍♂️ Top of the route is awesome

If only it was this type of climbing the whole way up. Worth giving it a go for the first 2 bolts #2ndgo

For a small crag, very good quality of climb. Good surprise!

Ok bottom half, seems to be partly retrobolted

Deceptively hard for a 17 over the over hang.

Pretty tricky getting onto face. Had a decent fall on 2nd bolt. Easy past third bolt. Need to get stronger!

Only the boulder at the beginning is worth it. Easy

Boulder problem

Onsight. Bouldery start leads to nice easier climbing.

Boulder problem on jugs then easy as to top. Maybe not the absolute best line because it's possible to cheat using the rock to the left, which makes it a much easier climb, but oh well
