Ascents in Wānaka as Working

Suprised myself with this one. Definitely got stuck on a few moves in the middle

Playing around getting the tricky moves at the bottom

Did all the actual moves but I grabbed a couple of draws instead of clipping them.

Did all the moves except the mantle

Fingers were not ready, wasn't really worth the try

Managed to get to the last draw, hit the slot but couldn't get moves higher, fingers bleeding, and feeling tired. Looking forward to climbing again! I tried to brush of the blood spots best I could 😅😬

Close on the last move, missed the mats, gave myself a present of bone bruising to my foot

Cleaning the gear off the top bolts.

Just tried this since I've seen a few people on it, quite punchy to a good rest then I didn't quite work out the next sequence but it seems possible just need to work out how to fit in the box and which heels to get where.

Got on again to see how it felt and because bailing on permadraws is easier, stuck the crux with 2nd shot after getting to the pocket clean but couldn't get over my foot to the next draw again.

Got to the fixed long draw after a lot of dogging, couldn't work out the next sequence.

Opened the account, worked out all my moves up to the headwall then bailed when the nut was almost off my bolt and the next one was missing entirely 😯

Tried the bulge a few more times and got it again and managed to get to the next draw, dogged my way up to the knee bar then bailed as my nerves were fried from all the scary/hard climbing above bolts. Hopefully the top isn't terrible.

Got on to see how it felt, got to the bulge and played around a bit before lowering off

Not too bad for the most part, made it to the chains doing all moves but very questioning of whether the arete is in or not? Wouldn't remember much if I got back on it

Was the only climb where the climber and belayer weren't getting wet. Didn't spend much time at the start on the crimps, jugged up and climbed to the anchor under the second roof as a warm up (top was wet)

Worked out the first section on crimps, too pumped to link into the second roof, lowered and came down.

Went clean from the start to the no hands rest under the top roof and cleaned

So rad can't wait to come back and send this!! Never thought I'd do a indoor comp move on the rock. Unreal.

Steep and pumpy. Got pumped out 😔

Linked the first half after a few tries.

Had a look at the moves on the top rope Alex put up.

Fun and easy till the last move. Last move is committing and kinda painful.

Testing a3 pulley... did all the moves finger felt good

Not yet, can’t get the sit start. Back to the gym I go…
