Ascents in Alcalali having Beta

did this climb because of the name. turned out to be way more demanding than expected. Beginning sequence was very nice, but the bulge was way too committing for me. Almost had to get into the split to reach the good hold (I’m sure there is another way to do it). After overcoming this still had to deal with run outs and pretty heavy drag. Sadly did not raise to the challenge to finish last few quickdraws of this climb.

wow, this climb was another challenge in steepness for me! Glad I trusted the process & didn’t freak out from the overhang good holds are there!

Think I did the 7a+ variation - start right of the cave and finish up right.

I'll count this as a flash instead of an onsight, because of climbing the right neighbour, where I've sort of climbed half the crux already.

Apart from the short crux around the tufa, this route is just leisure climbing on huge holds and pockets. Is it a 6b because of the crux? Or maybe just 6a+?

This route should not have been bolted!

The neighboring routes left and right are so close, that you're constantly wondering whether you are actually in your own route or already climbing the other one.

Additionally, if there's a climber on one of the other two routes, there's a real danger of falling on top of them (or vice versa).

All of this reduces the joy of the climb. In terms of grade, maybe soft 6c or 6b+.

As we had done Stahlgewitter already, we finished on the lower chains to the right. The hard part anyhow seems to be the slab at the bottom.

No se si es la via, yo creo que en el croquis la dibujan mas a la izquierda de la que yo he hecho. La que yo digo tienes que subir por la rampa hacia la derecha para llegar a la primera chapa. Muy chula la via, se va complicando el paso más duro es el último paso del crux luego ya fácil.

Vía bonita aunque algo pulida. Hay que moverse bien para no complicarse más de la cuenta.

Vía muy bonita. La encadeno a vista peleando bastante y acabo con los brazos calentitos. Creo recordar que en la guía de la Costa Blanca le dan 6a+ y estoy de acuerdo con ese grado.

No tan épica como el otro 6a+ de este paño, pero muy chula también. Algún pasito de equilibrio abajo y buen canto después. Abre Esther y encadena a vista. Como de costumbre ya 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Viote. Esther la encadena a vista luchando bastante. Tiene un par de desplomes que como te entretengas picas. Buen canto en general y algún pasito en diedro abajo.

Really great route! The crux is past the pockets on the first part of the wall, and requires a long reach. Up top there are a lot of pockets.

Really fun route, bit overhang, big pockets. Only problem was that the bolts were few and far between. But the pockets made up for it!
