Ascents in Montsant as Hang dog

Feels much much harder in comparison with other routes around. No way its a 6b+

Too pumpy for me but amazing

First climb in Montsant & already took my heart. What a wild style of moving, what a beautiful rock and formations and huuuge eagles flying overhead. Took a fall in the beginning at the (scary-for-me) bulge. Glad to do it though !

Wow, what a cool crack ! Awkward start & then after it gets very interesting. Did my first foot jam there! Felt way harder than 6b+ for all of us.

Actually really enjoyed bulge / overhanging section of this climb ! Main thing is to go for the right pocket, as there are overwhelming amounts

WOW!!! Did all the bottom section then ran out of quick draws around 30m up D'OH!!! But the rest is easy I think Hopefully come back one day and send this mega rig!!! AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAAAAAA!!!!

The wheels fell off! A much less intense and straightforwardly thuggy route than its 7a neighbour. I flashed more than half of this climb, then the flash blinders led me the obscure path of 2 desperate monos (oblivious to the monster jug out right) before I fell off. After that I battled to the top with 1 more rest as every impending injury came to.claim me. TOO MUCH POCKET PULLING!

Mega mega mega. 60m 7b+... Try and imagine it! First 40m is super-sustained 7a intensity moves with 1 sequence at 7a+, the top 15m (or so) is probably 6c. Done with 3 monstrous whippers and about 4 rests (we were running out of daylight so I couldnt afford any more big falls). 20 bolts over 60m = bloody runout. Pockets, crimps, long techy seam-crack, desperate pebble pulling, slab and stemming. Demanded every climbing skill ive learned in 7 years in the 1hr 15min I was on this!

Long 38m pitch, with only one vauge rest at half height. Got to cruxy bulge at 3/4 height on the flash, then dogged to the top. Fell of at the same spot 2nd try. Be ok if I could remember a sequence longer than 2 or 3 moves..... y

Came back for a quick razz on the last day. Bolt to bolted it and thought I had it sorted, but slipped out of the pockets leaving the crux bulge. Went to the top, then tried the crux again. Didnt feel like it was going to happen on link so bailed.

Had a real crack at the onsight. Came off one move from a hands free rest 8m from the chain. Bugger. Another sustained pump fest on pockets.

This time trying the whole route and getting to the top. First 8b I ever never touched 🙃

Super good route. Steep jugging and pocket pulling until your eyes pop. I need more Spanish fitness for this one.

Great fun in the scorching heat. I was a little stumped on the start, but the rest of the route was great. Nice to link some sections on the second burn.

First time foot slipped at the second bolt, second go was smooth climbing till the last bolt. Took me a few goes to figure out the sequence for this runout to the anchor.

this pocket pulling caper is harder than i expected.

Fantastic climb. Flashed it to the last bolt but pumped out...broke my heart...
