Ascents in Jungfrau Region having Beta

Entry from close to Mönchsjochhut. Crux at the very end, the firngrat. Conditions and room to walk the ridge depend on the weather/recent snow! Climbing in rock sections are very nice!

In descent after Nollen route.

In general good but a bit snowy conditions. Nollen about 2,5 pitches ice climbing.

A long and rocking sequence of small holds! Complete OS vanished on the last hard move of 8th pitch...sniff sniff

We put in a lot of effort to get on this, but in the end the elements defeated us. Went up the Rostock via ferrata to gain the west ridge and avoid all the snow and ice on the west face. We could see the climb and the abseil in, but couldnt get to either without ice axes and crampons due to the abnormally late snow season: there was just too much ice on the sketchy ridge to the abseil. A crushing dissappointment of my oldest climbing dream, but I WILL be back for another attempt.
