Routes in Arizona for selected grade

Sustained face climbing on mostly good holds with a distinct crux midway.

Classic steep feature wrestling on permadraws. One of the best in the region according to the local guide.

Hard low crux

two pitch climb • 1) 11d starts next to Alchemist , 9 bolts • 2) 12b (follows diagonal crack on upper headwall) As the first pitch traverses quite a bit to the right it is recommended to clean the first pitch by seconding it to the rapell anchor which is at a nice ledge to belay for pitch 2.

Fun pocket section but not too hard. Then a crux with a couple of bad holds that will force you to find the optimal body position

Variation of The Goodness, shares start and anchor

Pitch one requires 13 draws

Starts on slab to slightly overhanging headwall of nearly perfect rock.

Big holds to small holds and a tricky sequence on slightly overhanging rock.

About 50 feet right of where the trail meets the wall. Look for a shallow 5ft. tall orange scoop just above the dark band of rock. A crystal band angling right from the top of the scoop is the best clue.

This is the route furthest right before the big boulder. Same start as 'Jail Break' but pick the right bolt line after the first few moves onto the narrow ledge. Climb straight up after that initial right turn for the full 12b experience - some people move right into 'Prison Overcrowding' but I think that would lower the grade and the fun

Gradual increase in difficulty.

Begins just left of Look at all those Chicken and a short pillar at the base of the wall.

Shares anchor with Greyhound

Super technical climbing up the rounded arete. There is also a second pitch.

Shares anchor with The Sandstoner.

Tough crux to pull the roof on pockets. Keep the tension going with high feet. Easy finish.

Extension to Semi-Bluff.

Follows the obvious arete. One of America's top 100 routes!

Awesome climbing on large features. Has one really long move.

Towards the right end of the wall, shares start with 'Finger Prince' but trends left from the shallow ledge.

Goes almost all the way to the top of the James Brown wall, following patina edges. Watch the rope length!
