So happy I managed to get this done, what a climb.

The toughest part is not letting your mind race ahead saying ‘oh I’ve got this’, you still have to string 3 cruxes together.

A tiny change in beta made all the difference, first of the grade and not the last!

Has been on the hit list for a while, I walk my dog around Knocklofty a lot so it always teased me.

Deadpoint felt calm and crispy, happy with that.

Initial left hand crimp has broken off, replaced with equally difficult Gaston-esque crimp in the centre.

Grit and composure at the top due to heel hooks and balance. I skipped the obvious shelf to the left that would make it a million times easier.

Fun as hell, started low but then inched my way with some heel hooks, big throws to jugs and matches felt great.

Nice to comeback to this, was heaps easier than when I first sent it, is this progress?

Finally got there in the end, took 3 trips and some good beta but I’m chuffed!

Ooof this beat me up for a while, glad I got it in the end.

This is a great climb! I can see how flexibility could help- I changed up my beta on the 6th go and got it done.

How’s that mobility ?

That beginning is nails, right hand lock off and raise that left hand above your head for another crimp, happy with that.

Solid hold for the send, just need to move your feet up a little and almost dead point it.

Found the left pocket move too difficult to stick! Lovely approach through.

So close to latching the final move twice but popped off, would love to have another go next time in Bicheno.

Probably had the wrong beta, nice to give it a razz though. This is for you Tsevi Leib

The weather has been great but I was a sleepy boy, I have the beta dialled in - il come back when I’m fresh and string it together.

Great climbing, bummed I didn’t get it but there’s always next time! Will definitely be wearing long pants for the kneebar

Can do all the moves, just need to stay focussed for the duration of the traverse!

This is hard but I think I know the beta now.

I think I had been starting from the wrong hold for about an hour until I realised, next trip !

Pretty easy climbing if you lock off and feel for holds, first climb my handhold gave way and jumped down. Second time around was good though, wouldn’t be fun to slip off near the top though haha.

Getting close, final little dead point needs commitment to land.

Overshot the final dead point hold at least 4 times, I’ve got this in the bag once my skin is better, pow pow.
