Ascensioni in Main Wall come Hang dog

Small holds in steep territory are not for me, found this nails. Felt sketchy placing the fiddly micro gear on lead. Took some good whippas on shallow wires.

Still struggling with feet after overhang. Will be able to send this after two more sessions.

A tough onsite, I can see why it's considered a test piece.

Rested at the crux for a short time but managed to overcome it without too much difficulty.

Want to re-attempt without rest (ran out of time on this day)

Finished after a rest on first attempt of the day. Finally found the beta after going too far right along the diagonal crack; might be link up to 26 ‘Climber-Model Denialist’. Long rest to clear pump, then pieced together final section; needs right sequence of hands to avoid big crosses. Couldn’t remember it on 2nd and 3rd attempts and couldn’t repeat. Big progress after first attempt a couple years back. Keen to clean it on a future visit, and some day on trad.

Found it hard to place the gear that protects the crux. Thanks to Patrick Everitt for valiantly retrieving the pink nut I sat on for so long 😂 No desire to return to get the red point.

Nope. Nice jams though. Kept popping off and on top belay found it hard to pull back on. Try again when fresh. Good lead Steve!

Three sits. Nice juggy roof. Feeling tired and sore today.

Misread the crux and rested in the rope for a bit.

tried to onsight but stuffed it and pumped out quickly, got moves on top rope but it’s going to be much tougher on lead

Rested on gear at top of the corner before exit. Tough move. Keen to try this again sometime.

Second 14. Had some issues with gear placement...once I found the good cam placement, all was then good.

Reachy and steep out of the cave! Was good to try something hard after 10days of sub 10 trad.

Dogged the crux.

Andy D led. I had to rest on the rope to get both hands free so I could get a cam out.

I recall this being hard, it was the first time I'd seconded on trad so that's to be taken into account I guess!

really difficult and sequency crux, but very cool climb all up
