Great climb! So many roofs to bust through for the grade.

Brilliant! the first pitch (12) is one of the best of the grade you'll find anywhere

funky! good protection can be found if you look around, and the traverse isn't as tricky as it looks

thin gear down low, delicate moves and an easy pull over the roof. what more could you want?

be careful of some very loose rock at the start, then the quality of the rock and the climbing improves once you start traversing

one of the very best in Central Australia! first two pitches can be combined into one if you don't mind a bit of rope drag, its just a shame that the last pitch kinda sucks otherwise this would be an all time classic

Stellar first pitch! If only the rest of the climb was as good

It's all on the first pitch, that traverse and the roof (potentially went the wrong way on the roof) phwooaaw! For me, harder than a 16 for sure. Next couple of pitches were okay, but for the ants and the trees.

The big tree at the top of 2nd pitch is now dead

Maybe have gone off route. First pitch was a cruise felt around 14. Second was maybe soft 16 going up through the roof on in the middle crease.

Quite fun with the occasional loose block.

3rd time out climbing on real rock, 2nd climb of the day, 1st time on a multi pitch. The traverse and the layback were the most challenging parts for me. A lot of the climb was a couple good moves followed by a solid rest point. Great exposure on the traverse. Small bush right in the way of the second pitch was a pain in the ass, but it was still a really enjoyable climb.

Wow! First climb in Alice and what a amazing route. Sustained on mostly perfect rock with exciting gear. Reminded me of 'new image' at Arapiles. More like solid 20/21.

Pumped out negotiating the death blocks pulling the roof. If these were gone it would be border line classic. Exciting runout to the finish above an average nut.

Very rewarding....started in the dark to beat the heat and wasn't disappointed!

My first route in the NT

Swung leads with Claire, guidebook says the climb is 13, thecrag says 17, I'll split the difference and say it's 15/16. Surprisingly solid rock

Great climb, it was my first trad lead solo so I was quite nervous around the crux.

I top roped this with a passing backpacker to introduce her to climbing and found the route surprisingly enjoyable given the negative name.

Easy going centralian climb. This was my first ever multi-pitch lead. Well protected like a medieval castle. The second pitch in particular has bomber protection for hexes and cams if you so choose.

First time we climbed this we walked down the gully right of the climb. The rock was a bit loose, so we rapped down the second half, leaving a Maillon Rapide and a bit of rope behind.

Wear a helmet for any Central Australian climb - loose rocks are aplenty!

Top roped

Led the 2nd/3rd pitches. 3rd pitch is optional extra 25m Grade 8 or 9?. Great tree for abseiling halfway down

with 2 friends, sharing leads and seconding. I led pitches 1 and 3.

Got lost trying to find Crown of Thorns so did this instead... quite a lot of loose rock, dirt and foliage made for a more sketchy route however there's enough good pro to get you through the harder sections and huge runouts in the easy parts

Frightening if you're not used to the Centralian dirt crumble. Good fun on the squeeze manoeuvre at the top boulder however.
